Positive: Mostly single level. Several good sized bedrooms. Private. Good parking. Lovely gardens. Close to Riverside Markets, Botanic Gardens, Airport and Riccarton Mall.
Negative: Lounge was too small for the number of guests the house can accommodate - not enough chairs. The main bathroom did not fit the calibre of the home at all, did not have a working lock and was located off the kitchen. Even though there was a separate toilet that wasn’t helpful since it was accessed through the bathroom. The toilet was cramped with an old toilet that rocked a little. A dirty pot stand was in the toilet. No heat pump. No fire. A bit disconcerting the number of heaters around the house and some of them were very old.
Summary: Large family home for an enjoyable stay.

Positive: The location was in a quiet street off a large main road...but very direct to many popular city destinations, and easy to drive to The stadium where we were attending a convention. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was very well appointed with utensils etc...and we loved the big dining table that we could sit around and eat together. I worried that, because the house is an old villa...it would be too cold. But it was really warm when we arrived and we found it very cosy and comfortable to stay in.
Negative: There were a couple/three issues that we raised when we arrived...(wifi not working, bulb blown, no bedside lights in one room etc.) .but suffice to say, these were dealt with very quickly and mostly resolved....
Summary: Loved the place...would stay again.
