Summary: The place was a bit out of the way but just fine for the price. The only problem I have is with the crummy rewards from hotels.com. I earned $1.77 or around 2% while the old rate was a standard 10% every time. I'm really not happy with the change in management at hotels.com.

Summary: Our stay at Fernhill Lodge was made most memorable by the staff. Deborah or Debra, in particular, went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. She took the time to lead us to a bus stop about 2KM from the lodge so we could go into Cork for food. After waiting for about 20 minutes and realizing the buses weren't running, we decided to call it and return to our rooms. We asked if there was any way the restaurant would remain open for us when we got back. They happily agreed to keep the kitchen open and prepare us dinner. They definitely didn't have to do so, but that is just the kind of thoughtful people they are. Everyone on staff was very hospitable and kind. The grounds of the location were very nice. The rooms had the basics of what you would need for a decent stay.

Summary: This is a nice hotel , very friendly and helpful staff. It needs updating and I was disappointed that there was no cooked breakfast as we paid extra for breakfast, it was just cereals toast tea/ coffee yogurts , boiled eggs. I would have been happier with a cooked breakfast. It’s a little off the beaten track and the price reflects this.
