Summary: Markus was a perfect host. He touched base with us a few times before our arrival, assuring us an easy entrance to the flat, and again during our stay. It was extraordinarily clean, decorated in neutral colors, simple but with an abundance of extras that a traveler needs; coffee, paper products, water, towels, even some toiletries/ sundries if forgotten. The kitchen looked on to a small garden and the deck was large enough for two to eat a meal. Large seating in living room and room for 4 to sit and eat in kitchen. Washing machine and dishwasher worked great. 3 floor walk up so good to be in shape. Some interesting characters around local grocery and parks, but no trouble and everyone was nice. Always seemed to have a good parking spot and WiFi was strong and reliable. I wish I could figure out how to cast my tv show on to the smart TV, but the BBC channel was fine for an English speaker like me. Overall- great rest and fond memories of this delightful spot and generous host.

Summary: Perfect. Lovely apartment. Clean, spacious, modern. Photos do not do it justice. Greeted by very friendly host. Beers, mineral water and so much more provided on arrival. Great location. Hot bread rolls just around the corner. Supermarket close by. Everyone so friendly. Easy direct train trip from Dusseldorf airport to Essen West. Hope to visit again one day.

Summary: We had a lovely stay at the Galliet apartment. It is conveniently located just a short walk from the train station as well as several bus stops, so it was never a problem getting around town. Markus was a wonderful and accommodating host (plus he left us a much-appreciated "welcome package" of cold drinks in the fridge!), and the premises were just perfect. It's such a spacious apartment and has every amenity one could ask for! We cooked, cleaned, did laundry, ironed, etc. and never once did we find ourselves lacking a utensil, tool or appliance. Markus really has thought of everything! We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone.

Summary: I can only say good things about this place. It is nice, clean, very cosy and confortable. Owner is very kind and welcoming. The apartemt is set up very nicely and offers all the conforts that we need, including TV and internet. Parking is at doorstep. We like to come back every year.
