Negative: There is a very strong damp smell in the house . We got used to it but the first night we needed to use air freshener before we could settle in the rooms . Also there seems to be a lime problem in the water - we had small chunks of it floating in water being used for cooking etc. The showers both stopped working mid shower , repair men came and did a great job but we were not told what time they were arriving at. Any issues have to go through the Sykes holiday company and it’s very hard to actually deal with anyone directly. Great potential for a holiday house but needs a good clean and some TLC

Summary: We enjoyed the stay but were disappointed overall with the house .

Positive: Great location ,beautiful views. Beach within walking distance.

Negative: Smoke alarm batteries out- casing open. Carbon monoxide detector siting unplaced on top of fireplace. Big fire safety risk!

Negative: Shower in main bathroom needs to be replaced. Jets were too strong and temperature could not be regulated.

Positive: The house was spotless on arrival, very cosy and the fire was an added bonus. The house is very well equipped with lots of extra bonuses not found in other houses. The location was amazing watching the cruise ships going by from the window was an absolute favourite...walking distance to the beach...we enjoyed our time staying in Findale and will definitely be back...
