Summary: The staff made me feel like we were old friends, they were so delightful! The incredible amenities of happy hour, s’mores by the firepit, games and a sauna, were so unexpected and made me want to stay longer. They are dog lovers and the pet package was so appreciated!

Summary: Exceptional service from the entire staff. The owner personally walked us around the entire property and shared valuable information about the area, which made our stay even more special. We were running late for check-in, but the front desk staff thoughtfully checked on us and waited to ensure we arrived safely. The rooms were spotless, and everything was in perfect working condition. The service throughout our stay was excellent. The rooms had a cozy cabin-like feel, exactly what we were looking for, and the heater worked exceptionally well during the cold weather. While relaxing at the fire pit, we met another family who mentioned they have been staying here for over 10 years and have never been disappointed, which truly speaks volumes about this place. This establishment is family-owned and operated, and they are clearly doing an outstanding job. We will most definitely return and highly recommend this property.

Summary: We loved this place and regretted that we were only here one night. Our room was quite small, which was fine for a night, but I would get a larger room next time The property backs up to Camp Richardson, so it was very quiet. I loved taking out a bike to ride the bike trail through the area. The owners are great, very accommodating. This place is a work of love and it shows.

Summary: On-line check in was a breeze. Pre-check-in was helpful. Breakfast starts at 8 am, but some grab and go was available the night before (for all you early morning skiers). Great response from the management team. Would definitely go again!

Summary: Much of South Lake Tahoe is noisy and congested. Fireside is located on the edge of the Camp Richardson forested region, perfect hiking distance from Pope Beach. They provide guests with complimentary bikes in the warmer months and snowshoes when the drifts kick in. Unlike many Tahoe motels on the highways, Fireside Lodge is quiet at night (due to its location). The themed rooms are clean and cozy with quaint kitsch and plenty of space and amenities (such as fireplaces and kitchens with a dining table). The hosts provide a hearty breakfast, including a stand-out waffle bar with all the fixings. The evenings offer wine and cheese and smores by a campfire. There's even a hot tub, sauna, and game room (complete with vintage arcade games). The Fireside Lounge is everything you could want in an affordable Tahoe stay.
