Positive: Very friendly and welcoming.
Negative: Only a bath with hand held shower in the room we were given. Also only a small opening in the window so it was rather warm at night.

Positive: Great place to stay, just a short walk to beautiful quiet beaches perfect for swimming. Communication and directions excellent, very friendly host and 3 lovely alpacas. Fresh breakfast eggs provided by the hens. Perfect for nature lovers. Super comfy bed and the room was spotless. Highly recommended and I hope to return.
Negative: Nothing other than that I'd have liked to have stayed longer.
Summary: Fabulous B&B in an idyllic location.

Positive: Excellent stay at the Five Oaks. Josh was an excellent host and extremely knowledgeable about everything. On arrival Josh greeted us and showed us to our room and gave us the usual information. We asked about local restaurants and he recommended a nice Italian restaurant which we did go to and was excellent. After our day out we came back to relax and settle in for the night. I had a message from josh to let me know he had left some milk for us. Wow everything catered for. We had a fantastic sleep (apparently the 3 Alpacas were fighting during the night and despite our windows open we didn't hear a peep) We woke up fresh in the morning enjoyed a fantastic shower then headed down for breakfast. We enjoyed cereal and fresh fruit followed by eggs on toast (we even met the chickens that laid the eggs) Josh was on hand and very attentive with anything we needed. Once we had packed and checked out we asked if it was ok to leave the car and explore the grounds. We had a wonder and were very impressed. Josh was out doing his rounds and gave us lots of information on his plans for the place and what he had done also let us feed the Alpacas (but we were aware not to touch them as they will spit) We were only there for 1 night but to hear in the evenings of the wildlife that comes active only wanted us to stay longer but had to leave. All i can say is we will return and hopefully a longer stay. The Five Oaks you have open areas wooded areas all the wildlife and peace and quiet, then a short drive you are at New Quay Beach. We will return 2 very happy guests.

Positive: Our trip to New Quay was made extra special by staying in beautiful Five Oaks. The room and house were so lovely, clean ,comfortable and inviting. The acres of land it sits in is stunning and we were delighted to be shown around and to meet the delightful resident alpacas. Josh was an amazing host; nothing was too much trouble and he made us feel very welcome. He was exceptionally knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area and it was so lovely to spend time talking to him about it. We learnt so much! We didn’t get to meet Fran but looking forward to that on our next visit which we are already planning. We absolutely loved our stay and couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Positive: It is in an absolute beautiful location. Very peaceful. A short walk from the beach. The host is very obliging nothing is too much trouble.
Negative: The en-suite bath/shower was unusual. It was tricky to use a handheld shower. Ideally a shower unit would be better perhaps something the hosts may consider altering in the future.
