RETREAT! RETREAT! Retreat from your busy life and reserve this AMAZING place!!! No matter if you are inside or outside, every square inch of this sanctuary is stunning. Wonderfully designed, this space takes the comfortable, relaxed farmhouse style and adds a modern freshness. This is a SWEET RETREAT!!!
This large 3,581 sq. ft. classic farmhouse on a secluded 8.85 acres lot has everything you need for family gatherings, small church groups, scrapbooking groups or old friends hanging out. Each space is uniquely furnished with special touches to provide guests with comfort & a style reminiscent of the simple country life. This beautiful home offers two living areas, a fully stocked kitchen ready for a gourmet meal, and a walk-in shower in the master. We also offer starter coffee, creamer, sweeteners and we supply shampoo, conditioner and body soap in each bathroom.
Outdoor amenities include a huge kid’s playground, a gigantic fire pit area, hot tub and a very long covered front porch with 4 wooden rockers. The backyard patio has a large teak table with 12 chairs. We also have 2 outside swings, a picnic table, a Weber charcoal grill and gas grill.
Our farm is conveniently located approximately 15 to 20 minutes from the following popular destinations: McLane Stadium, Baylor University, The Silos, Downtown Waco, Cameron Park, Cameron Park Zoo, Hawaiian Falls, Waco National Monument, and Slow Rise pizza on the Brazos River. We are just 6 minutes from both Homestead Heritage and I 35. We are 25 minutes from Waco Surf.
We do have surveillance cameras on the outside of the property. All cameras are clearly visible and used for security purposes.
Guest will have access to the entire home except for a few owner’s locked off closets.
Other things to note
Absolutely NO SMOKING or illegal drugs allowed anywhere inside the house or outside on this property at any time.
Three of the bunk beds have full size beds for the bottom bed.
King beds have adjustable mattresses with the ability to raise & lower the head of the bed.
Guest must bring their own wood to burn in outdoor pit. We do stack fallen limbs but cannot guaranty wood will be available. Please check with McLennan County to verify if burn ban is in place before starting a fire.
Must be 21 or older to book.
The Directv Choice™ package provides over 200+ channels and 85+ HD channels. In addition to these channels, guests have access to NFL Sunday Ticket, regional sports channels, local channels, and the ability to record shows to watch at a later time.
There are 5 bathrooms in the house: 2 full bathrooms and 2 half baths are located downstairs where there are 3 bedrooms. 1 bathroom is upstairs where there are 4 bedrooms.
We have two dining tables seating up to 15. We also have 4 stools at the bar area in the kitchen.
If your overnight group will exceed the 16 person occupant limit, please give us a call or message to make arrangements. Additional fees may be required.

Summary: We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Florence Farmhouse! We traveled to the Waco area as my wife is pursuing her EDd program at Baylor, and my in-laws flew in from Durham, NC. We were looking for a peaceful getaway from the city, as we live in San Antonio, but we didn’t want to be too far from everything. The house was perfect! Each morning, we enjoyed a quiet moment on the porch with coffee, surrounded by birds chirping, cows mooing in the distance, and roosters crowing. It was truly magical. My father-in-law was especially fond of the peaceful setting, saying it reminded him of his childhood on a farm in Wisconsin.The house itself was spacious, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully organized, with everything clearly labeled for convenience. The large backyard, complete with a swingset, provided endless hours of fun for my daughter and two boys as they played baseball endlessly with a tee & net!Whenever I had a question about the property, I called the contact number, and Sarah, our rental host, was so so kind and incredibly helpful. She even provided us with excellent dining recommendations.This weekend getaway was absolutely worth it. Watching my kids play outside instead of watching TV was a nostalgic reminder of my own childhood. If you’re looking for an incredible experience that’s not too far from the city, this place is perfect. My wife and I are already considering a return trip. We Absolutely loved it and appreciate Sarah for her hospitality!

Summary: Wonderful home to comfortably accommodate 11 adults & 6 children ages 22 months - 12 years old. Well stocked & within 15-30 minutes of all the sights we visited. Secure with gate & fenced, with great play areas for children. Mapquest & GPS unfortunately said it was on the opposite side of the road, so we all had trouble finding it at first, but after that, very easy to locate.

Summary: The property was a great space for our large extended family! There were enough beds as well as living space for all 20 of us! The house was very clean and very well-stocked, making us feel right at home. The expansive yard with kids jungle gym and fire pit was perfect to let our children run! I would highly recommend this property!

Summary: The Florence Family Farmhouse was a Retreat, indeed. It created the perfect environment for me and my guests! I have stayed in several VRBO's and this house was by far my favorite! Great storage (LOVED the pantry area off of the kitchen), plenty of linens, no microfiber bedding, very clean, and things you typically don't get like a huge assortment of spices and even some ziploc/foil/etc. The only inaccuracies were areas where the property offered EVEN more than advertised- i.e. a volleyball net. Everyone absolutely loved this house and the thoughtful details!
