Positive: This was the exact retreat I was looking for.....quiet, peaceful, private and in beautiful surroundings. We spent our time on our cottage porch in the pool and sun for 3 glorious days. The food was amazing. The chef even made a couple of curries for my British husband! The staff was so very friendly and accommodating. I can't wait to return.
Negative: I loved everything about it!!

Positive: The meals were so delicious. The staff were great as well, very pleasant and welcoming. I specifically want to acknowledge Kershella, Clenton, Macy, Leandra, Suella, the lady who helped us create those delicious chocolate bars and the other restaurant staff. Thanks for helping to create such a relaxing getaway. I wish I was returning this weekend 😊 The fruits! So many fruits in abundance! That was also a highlight. Walking through the property felt like we were in the garden of eden!
Summary: The most peaceful and relaxing getaway I've had in a while.

Positive: The location and the welcome at the reception. The nature walk to a view point to see one of the pitons is very nice. It starts directly at the property and is a moderate walk uphill with steps in between.
Negative: Unfortunately the whole compound is old and in dire need of love and attention. Rusty nails at the pool and the feeling to be an inconvenience to the staff. Breakfast didn't have much options if you don't eat meat and following my request for plant based milk (first said there is none, and then needed to bring it from the back) it had bugs in it. With some work on the cottages and facilities and more attention on service and guests treatment, this could be a lovely place.

Positive: Fond Doux is an amazing oasis in an already beautiful land. The jungle surrounds you and everywhere there are chirping birds, blooming flowers, and the stunning pools and historic buildings of the resort. Our plunge pool and deck were absolute heaven at any time of day, with a view over the forest.
Negative: The location made it a small challenge to get to other parts of the island without paying the “tourist tax” of overpriced rides. But it was well worth this minor hassle.

Positive: The staff are amazing, super friendly and helpful! The food onsite was incredible; delicious and fresh with ingredients straight from the plantation! Breakfast was included which was nice to find out. The property is stunning, especially the hike to view the petit piton. I loved falling asleep to the sound of the jungle. There are great activities onsite like the chocolate tour which was fun and I had an amazing massage, but it’s also very near to most of the popular sites. The staff were very helpful and patient to help me organize my activities and to book them for me. I would 100% stay here again and not look anywhere else!
Negative: “No see em” bug bites when outside during dawn and dusk, but that’s the nature of being in the jungle.
Summary: Absolutely loved it! Beautiful property & facilities, amazing staff, delicious food, great location
