The Forest Retreat is a cabin you will find tucked away in the mountains of Lake Cumberland Resort. Searching for a secluded and comfortable oasis from the hectic day-to-day, you have found it! Whether you're sitting on the front porch, or enjoying the hot tub on the private back deck, you are in a quiet, secluded forest area. There is even a creek bed that runs through the back of the property flowing during periods of rain fall producing a wonderful sound of streaming water. No worries about neighbors, but look for wildlife!
This 3BR 2BA cabin offers much for you to enjoy. From an open-concept kitchen with all stainless steel appliances, a convection/gas oven/stove, a Keurig, waffle maker, instant hot water kettle, air fryer, blender, dining, and living room area (with sleeper sofa), with a full-size washer and dryer, a screened-in porch, a gas grill, and a large fire pit! Come and relax in the private hot tub on the screened-in back porch and watch your favorite movie or sports on the TV!
All TV's have a fire stick and have full streaming services, including all premium channels and sports channels! This includes all NFL and college football games, MLB, NHL, NBA, NCAA, Soccer and even PPV Events. The whole house Sony stereo system allows for music inside, or on both the front porch or rear deck at the hot tub.
The primary bedroom has a queen size bed and has access to the screened-in back porch with the hot tub. The primary bath has a walk-in shower. The 2nd bedroom is spacious with a king-size bed and an entrance into the second full size bathroom. The 3rd bedroom is cozy and quaint with a queen size bed, reading area with a lounge chair that folds out into a twin size bed.
Relax on the front porch while sitting in the rocking chairs and listen to the birds singing, or the wind blowing through the trees. If you bring your boat, the ramp is approximately one mile from the cabin. The area is also popular with ATV & SXS enthusiasts with miles of trails and even caves within a mile of the cabin. Don't forget to bring your wood for the outdoor fire pit, a great place to spend time with family and friends.
The resort is gated with security and features multiple pools, tennis and Pickle Ball Court. The cabin features cornhole, ladder ball and pickleball equipment.
The cabin is pet friendly and to our pet-friendly guests, we have a Chocolate Lab, so your fur babies may pick up her scent. The front door is equipped with a storm/screen door with a doggie-door so your pets can access the gated front porch.

Summary: 2 days, never left the property. If you want seclusion look no further. very clean & everything you need in spices. Very nice kitchen. King bed great. Didn’t use the other 2. A little expensive for 2 but for 6or 8 would be fine. Secluded hot tub worked fine & clean secluded from other guest if required. Fire pit, bring your own wood but they should furnish. They don’t. At a distance you may hear some wild animals, probably coyotes so keep your dog on a leash. This is a first class rental. T V & family room very comfortable. Clean baths.

Summary: This place is absolutely wonderful! Very secluded at the end of a dead end road. Very private and peaceful. Cathy was quick to respond, and the place was well stocked with everything needed. This might be the best place we've stayed at in years. Definitely recommend this property!

Summary: The property is just like it reads. It's in a resort, but tucked in the hills and the trees, definitely a secluded feel. The cabin is clean and well stocked. We took advantage of the close proximity of Cumberland Falls State Park. Our days were filled with hiking and water activities (shout out to Sheltowee Trace Adventures). In the evening we sat by the fire and listened to the coyotes and owls.

Summary: If you are looking for a place to get away from the city noises and traffic, this is the place to stay. Sitting around the firepit listening to the sounds of The whipperwill bird singing his song to to waki g up early morning watching the red-eye vireo catching bugs to feed her babies. The inside of the cabin is just beautiful. The main bedroom has a bathroom with a walk in shower, along with a doorway leading to the hot tub. The second bedroom has a door to the hall bathroom and a 3rd bedroom accessible through the second bedroom. This setup was perfect for our stay. And there are rolling barn doors for bathroom and in the main bedroom. Just awesome. I could go on and on with nothing but praise about this property. The owners are great. Responded quickly to our questions. We would definitely book this property again.
