After our highly appreciated and beloved villa Casa le Pigne, (ref 607748, 100+ 5 stars reviews), we have opened since 2018 nearby a beautiful vacation opportunity: a wonderful restored 17th century Podere (Farm) with 5 comfortable 1 and 2 BR apartments :The Podere La Valle.
The Apartment FORNO is one of them. First floor, very comfortable with a large living room with open fire and fully equipped kitchen. Bedroom near Full bathroom. 140cm sofa bed in the living room. This apartment can be easily combined with apartment BELVEDERE, just in front.
The Podere offers all you have dreamed on : a large pool (14x6m) with a large solarium, a spa with jacuzzi, IR sauna and steam bath open the year round, 150ha forest and the Tuscany at your feet. We can accommodate 16 people + in total.
Guests have access to the pool (14x6m) from June to end September and to the Spa all the year round.
Every appartement has antique furnitures, comfortable beds, 1 or 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, WIFI, open fire, and floor heating. NEW for more convenience : usb outlets in the bedroom !
The 150 ha property gives opportunity for many walks in the forest and discovery of the Tuscan wilderness.
Our Podere is 40 minutes away from Florence and 30 min from Siena. The nearest village (Castellina in Chianti) is 7km far. You find there a small supermarket, groceries, wineshops, banks, ATM, and 8 restaurants.High level of comfort in the Countryside: swimming pool, Spa, and lovely garden with bbq, petanque and walks in the forest.

Summary: This place was amazing and the first we’ve stayed at that looked even better in person than in the photos. The buildings, grounds and amenities were very well done and well kept. Hearing the birds and the views were spectacular. We were welcomed by a gorgeous rainbow our first day there. We’d love to return for an extended stay of 1-2 months if that’s possible.

Summary: The whole time we were at La Valle we kept repeating, “this is amazing”. It is a true gem. The property is gorgeous, the apartments are comfortable and spacious, the spa is lovely, the pool- perfection, and it is snuggled in between two quaint towns. We had wonderful meals in the restaurants in both towns, enjoyed a winery recommended by Jerome, and spent most of our time relaxing and hiking on the grounds. If you’re willing to drive there, it’s worth the effort.

Summary: Jerome and his team simply made our stay one to always remember. The apartment and house is stunning the whole property is amazing. It is remote but still right in the heart of Tuscany, which makes it the perfect location to explore the region. Jerome and his team maintain everything with love and and a great eye for the little details, which makes it even more special. We will come back! Grazie!!!

Summary: There is nothing to complain about in the holiday flat. We had the flat "Torre" and felt very comfortable. You can relax perfectly and the pool and spa area are great. Herbs grow all around the house and can be used for cooking. Gerome and his daughters are very friendly and helpful. Likewise, you can always turn to his staff, who are present every day. The complex is suitable for couples' holidays as well as for families. But then you should take one of the larger flats. When we arrived, everything was perfectly clean and prepared.

Summary: Overall we really enjoyed our stay in FORNO, the room and swimming pool (large enough to swim in and perfect temperature) were very clean, the spa was for private use and we really enjoyed our evening in there, bed linen and towels were in good condition and Jerome provides lots of handy tips for nearby facilities. We barely saw the other guests, often had the pool to ourselves and loved the complementary coffee from the common area. The kitchen was also very well equipped if you should wish to prepare more complex dishes. If I could suggest any improvements I would suggest to provide a standing fan as FORNO was very hot, even in June, I dread to think how it feels in August (we didn't address this with Jerome so it's possible there is one available)! I also understand they're in the process of installing mosquito nets but as our room only had one window with a net we had to choose between being hot and getting bitten (we both left Italy with several bites), bug repellent plugs were provided. The last issue we had was with the refrigerator, it seems to need the door seal replacing so it just didn't chill our food, we mentioned this briefly but managed to cool items almost enough by placing the frozen ice cube tray into the fridge and chilling drinks in the freezer before consuming them but it really does need fixing properly as it was inconvenient for us. Despite the issues mentioned I'm confident Jerome will do what he can to resolve them and we would both return and intend to revisit in future, it was like a slice of paradise nestled into the Chianti countryside, thank you Jerome for a wonderful stay!
