Why be near the water when you can be on the water?? Semi-secluded lake-level four bedroom retreat home located just ten steps to the water's edge. Located on the western shore of Seneca Lake just one mile (walking distance) north from the Village of Watkins Glen and just a short quarter-mile’s walk (north) to the Tiki Bar. Near public boat launches, Watkins Glen Gorge State Park, Watkins Glen International Speedway, the Finger Lakes National Forest, and many of the wineries of the Finger Lakes Wine Trail. Ideal setting for outdoor activities and all the Finger Lakes has to offer. Landlocked salmon and lake trout have been caught right off the dock! Boat lift available upon request for V-hull boats 17'-21' long for stays of 3 days or longer.
This three story year-round vacation home with private dock offers spectacular views of Seneca Lake from all rooms. This 2,400 square foot home easily sleeps 8 guests and can handle up to 10 total guests. There are two queen size beds, one full size bed, two twin beds, a two-person trundle bed and a pull-out couch. There is a full bath on each of the first two levels. This home is located on a well-maintained county road and offers off-street parking for four cars.
The main level offers an expansive open concept living area with a fully equipped modern kitchen and panoramic lake views. This year-round home includes all modern amenities including washer, dryer, dishwasher, large screen TV, internet, wifi, air conditioning and a four bottle wine cooler. The home also includes a wood pellet stove, an outdoor gas grill (no tanks necessary), an outdoor fire-pit, an array of outdoor furniture for “over-the-water” dining on the dock and so much more. For train buffs, there is even an occasional slow moving real live freight train (usually with no more than 8 cars) that runs through the property at roughly 5 mph several times per week.

Summary: This was the perfect getaway for my siblings, myself, and our spouses. The pictures on the site do not do the views justice....breathtaking! The sounds of the waves right outside the windows are so smoothing while sleeping in beds that are so very comfortable. I have rented many houses. Tom's hospitality exceeds them all! From providing fishing and boating tips to going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We are looking forward to making this an annual trip!

Summary: 4 girlfriends for a getaway week, we had the best time. The property was fantastic, we were so pleased when we arrived. Every bedroom overlooking the lake! Peaceful, beautiful, relaxing.

Summary: Great spot to enjoy the lake and surrounding area. Owner has outfitted place with great toys to take advantage of including: kayaks, paddle boat, fishing gear, fish light, bug zappers, dock chairs, cornhole, great tv, board games, area info and maps, well equipped kitchen, detailed PDF instructions for various activities, backup generator came in handy during outage. This is also a great spot to see wildlife in and outside the water (mink, woodchuck, land and water birds, loads of fish). Centrally located for Seneca, Keuka, and Cayuga lake activities and adventures by boat, car, bike or on foot.

Summary: This property was just as the listing said. A couple of days before arriving we received a list of what to expect and what we had to do on leaving. Owner was a awesome host. We had no problems and enjoyed the few night's we had before the rain came in, sitting by the fire on the lake. Fished off the dock every morning before we left to head to the winerys. Parking was a little different butwe got use to it pretty easily. Very close to Watkins Glen, Seneca Harbor was in site to the south and the Salt plant to the north. Would definitely stay here agian. Summary: Beautiful lake house with lots of amenities! Great view of the lake from every room and a lovely outdoor area. Really close to Watkins Glenn and so many of the Seneca Lake wineries/breweries/distilleries. Host was very attentive. Great property! ❤️

Summary: Had a terrific week at this roomy and clean lakeside cottage. Lots of toys (kayaks, paddle boat, etc) to keep the entire family entertained. Also within walking distance or bike ride to great restaurants, boat/jet ski rentals and state park with beautiful waterfalls.

Summary: We had a wonderful weekend at your rental. We were a group of 6 women celebrating our 60th birthdays. We enjoyed a walk around town, 2 wineries, a cruise around the lake, a few restaurants and the Windmill Craft Market. We got to enjoy multiple sunrises and a beautiful sunset. We hiked the state park and got to see several waterfalls. I absolutely recommend this place and I would stay here again.
