Positive: A charming, rustic, cosy cabin in the woods. Spacious for our family of 4. Had 6 futons. Very well equipped, with cooking facilities, utensils, full sized fridge, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. We loved the outdoor dining in the porch where we had BBQ and campfire right by the forest. Owner also makes great Granola for sale and gave us some in the welcome pack. It’s really good. Owner also shared some of his chicken’s freshly laid eggs with us. Owner was very warm and friendly. Gave us good recommendations on things to do in the area and great bakeries and places to eat. Legit. A comfortable and homely experience for our family.

Negative: We love the property and the vibe. Maybe just to set the expectation for others, the property is rustic. Don’t expect well manicured lawns and Japanese bonsai gardens. The owner is still working on the property. It has its own charm and vibe that is so characteristic of the owner. We love it!

Summary: We hope to be back some day. So glad we found this place.

Positive: The Fox is a guest house that's attached to a residential property. I loved that a little complimentary welcome pack was provided, which included granola, beer, coffee beans, milk and tea. It's a gorgeous property, probably best suited for a couple, or 2 friends. The host was polite, helpful and friendly. The guest house includes two futons, a kitchen, products for sale, a washing machine, toilet, kitchen table, free wifi, and fireplace. It's got a beautiful rustic vibe. Extra blankets are in the house, and towels are provided in the shower room. There is a supermarket (direx) and convenience stores nearby. There are not many restaurant options for dinner, but plenty for lunch time. Not too far from sightseeing spots and free parking. It felt very safe and comfortable.

Negative: No curtains! absolutely no curtains on any windows. literally anyone could come and look in! I didn't like that at all it was quite strange. literally anyone could see you doing anything from outside...
