this traditional stone farmhouse is situated in a calm and peaceful environment in the middle of a countryside of woods, fruit trees and near. At the end of a small path bordering the Dordogne and Lot et Garonne, the property benefits from an ideal location not overlooked and only 1.5 km from a medieval town with all shops (Lauzun). Built in stone in the 19th century, this old 110m2 farm has been restored to offer quality comfort while preserving most of the past. The 4 bedrooms can accommodate up to 9 people and each bedroom has its bathroom, one with W.C. A fully equipped farmhouse kitchen and a comfortable living room with satellite TV, DVD ...... complete the package. Outside, the house is surrounded by shrubs and fruit trees and opens onto the new private swimming pool 10m x 5m with views of the surrounding countryside. The pool is fenced and secured according to current French standards.

Summary: We absolutely loved our week here. Perfect location for visiting places combined with an absolutely gorgeous house. A lot of thought has been given to include everything you will need at the property.

Summary: The holiday was just as good as last year, but what disappointing weather. During our four week stay, most days were overcast and we needed heating on most evenings. What on earth is happening when it is sweltering in Spain but freezing and raining in France? Nevertheless, thank you again to our lovely hosts for such a wonderful stay, for the cherry picking and the peace and quiet.

Summary: Beautiful property in great countryside location. On arrival was required to provide 500 euros in cash as a security (returned at end of stay provided nothing broken or damaged) This needs to be made clear on booking. Nice property albeit the pillows and bedding could do with replacing! Nice people, there if needed other than that left alone. Would recommend

Summary: We have been coming to France, self catering, for 25 years. This is the best accommodation yet. The hosts were wonderful (on call if needed but out of sight if not). We had some communication problems between our non existent French and their non existent English, but Google translate came to the rescue. There were just two of us, so we did not use most of the property. However, the pool was the cleanest ever, with an outside shower and loo. We were invited to pick cherries from the garden, which were wonderful. The only problem was the address of the property. Vrbo gave it as renovated stone farmhouse with a road number. The road did not feature on our new satnav and no-one in Lauzun knew where we should go. Even the neighbour next door had never heard of the address. An hour after arriving in Lauzun and doing numerous circuits of the town, we went down a private track, and there were the owners waiting for us. Please Vrbo amend your site to give the correct address, which is Grosse Teste, as is clearly marked on the track leading from the main road. What a wonderful 4 weeks in France.

Summary: We would endorse all the previous lovely comments. The location is superb, with many bastide villages to visit. The hosts are welcoming, helpful and discreet. The property is exactly as described and that provided the perfect holiday for our family. If you see a very timid black and white cat, give him our love.

Summary: Very friendly and helpfull owners. We were able to enter the house befor the check-in, received a nice walk-around and were handed over the keys. You can't have more privacy that there. All alone with a great large swimming pool. We had a amazing time there and i am sure we will go there again.

Summary: We were 4 adults and one child of 5 - this property had everything we needed and was surrounded by beautiful countryside. The pool is clean and child friendly with great views. The owners are very accommodating and discreet and were on hand if we needed to ask for anything.

Summary: The house is in a great location, being near the town but not in it. The countryside is beautiful, and you can access so many great places to visit from here, from small Bastides, to the fantastic Bordeaux. The rooms are big, and each has its own shower which I did not realise from the description. The kitchen has all the equipment and crockery you will ever need, and is very clean. The lounge has a good range of satellite, and the WI FI connection is easy to use and works well. The pool area and outside seating etc is perfect, and takes full benefit from the sun, but offers shade when you want it. We small plenty of friendly wildlife from Deer to Hares as we sat out of an evening. Mme Mesquita does not speak English, so unless you speak French then Google translate is fine. The booking process was not a problem, and she has the assistance of an English speaking friend if needed. Upon arrival, we were met by her charming mother, and with a spot of smiling and waving of hands, seemed to understand each other easily enough. As hosts, they were perfect. Not obtrusive, but could be contacted should you need them, and the pool is maintained throughout without any fuss. I thoroughly recommend the house as a super holiday choice, and would be happy to answer any questions.
