Positive: We loved everything about this Gite! The location is perfect; it is in a very peaceful, quiet, rural area, but also within easy reach of some of the superb beaches and towns of the Vendee. Melanie, the host, was very welcoming and absolutely everything has been thought about and made available with this accommodation. We particularly liked the swimming pool, often going for a dip after returning from a day out around the area. Just perfect - highly recommend!
Negative: There was nothing that we did not like!
Summary: Perfect location, wonderful host, well equipped and comfortable accommodation.

Positive: The property was extremely tranquil with a beautiful view over the lake. The apartment was spacious, with air-conditioning. The hosts were helpful and relaxed and helped us when needed. There was plenty of parking and the property had a secure gate . The property is well sound-proofed. Lots of practical facilities.
Negative: It would have been helpful to have written instructions for all the electrical devices eg micro-wave, cooker, washing machine, TV . The description of the swimming-pool did not mention that it is cleaned with salt, rather than chlorine. The salt can cause medical problems for some people. The description did not mention that the property is on the first floor, with access from outside steps. This would be unsuitable for people with mobility issues. It also meant there was no outside private seating eg patio. People can sit by the pool. I wrongly assumed from the photos that we had a patio. One of the apartments does.
Summary: A peaceful stay in the Vendee.

Positive: Everything amazing location tranquility sublime great hosts went out their way to make it a one off experience. If you like quiet peaceful breaks this is the place. It’s great for travelling around we did La Rochelle in the south to Nantes in the north
Negative: Um um the fish were not biting during the day.
Summary: The French choose this place us Brits miss out because we don’t want to get out of our comfort zone. Oh amazing pool too
