Situated in Hanc in the heart of the Poitou Charentes the gite was converted and fully refurbished in 2017. There are two bedrooms (1 king, 1 twin) a large living room with Sky TV and triple sliding doors onto the Garden. The gite is open plan with the living room leading to a fully equipped kitchen diner (washing machine, electric cooker, microwave, dish washer, fridge freezer.) with a central island. Just off the dining area are the double doors eccessing the private courtyard containing another dining are, barbecue, sunshade and sunbeds).
For those with young children/babies the gite is equipped with a baby cot, high chair and stair safety gates.
There are CO2 and smoke alarms along with a fire blanket and fire extinguisher to ensure safety.
For winter lets there are electric radiators and a Burley wood burning stove.
There is off road parking.
All electricity and wood is included in the rate.

Summary: The whole experience of renting the property was perfect. The gite is well equipped, with every conceivable item available. The kitchen is ideal in layout with a large range of utensils and cooking equipment. The beds are comfortable and it is really quiet, enabling excellent quality sleep. The shower is very good with plenty of hot water available. The Woodburner kept the property toasty warm at all times. Pete and Julie are the perfect hosts and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. We will definitely be back.

Summary: This is a great place to stay and Pete and Julie could not have been more accommodating. The Gite is spotlessly clean and very well decorated in a small hamlet but with all amenities nearby. Could not have asked for more and highly recommend it

Summary: A great welcome from our hosts, with wine and supplies waiting for us. The house is beautiful both inside and out and is extremely well equipped. The enclosed courtyard was the perfect place to relax or enjoy an outdoor meal. Bikes are available and we enjoyed going for long rides in the countryside. Thank you so much to our lovely hosts, Pete and Julie, and we hope we will come back one day!

Summary: This was a beautiful renovation with everything very tastefully done. The courtyard was private and not overlooked by the owners although they were right next door if we needed them, and they couldn't have been more friendly. Lovely glass of fizz for me and a cold beer for my husband on arrival. The only small downside was that by the end of the afternoon the courtyard was in shadow so we couldn't enjoy the evening sun, which is the best bit of the day. Only a small point though, and would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a quiet week in a lovely hamlet

Summary: If you are looking for a quiet spot, look no further! This gite is absolutely brilliant. Modern fixtures and fittings make this the perfect place to escape. The village is very quiet, and although the nearest amenities are about 5 miles, this is a very good place to relax. We really enjoyed our time here, thank you Pete and Julie for making our stay a little extra special!
