Positive: Our gîte was absolutely perfect. A very modern and comfortable accommodation. The pool area was wonderful and a great space to cool off and relax. The location was peaceful an quiet but still very close to local amenities including some wonderful restaurants and boulangeries. Sebastien was a wonderful host. Always available for any assistance and great reccommendations for trips and restaurants.

Positive: A very enjoyable stay. A delightfully furnished apartment including a private, sunny patio. We loved the pool! The host was extremely helpful and even made reservations for us at a superb local restaurant for us as we don’t speak French. We used an Uber to get into Lille - around 30 Euros - well worth it to stay outside the city in the quiet countryside.

Positive: Design warm and modern. For us particularly the lack of carpet feels clean and tidy, yet the place is very warm (we came in February and the weather then was windy and cold sometimes).

Negative: One bedroom is not ensuite and so our friends need to go downstairs to use bathroom and toilet.

Positive: The gites are a modern conversion of old farm buildings, and are well decorated and stylishly furnished - and the kitchen is fully equipped (including a kettle and a toaster for British guests!). Our apartment had a large outside terrace with seating, and daily access to a large warm outdoor swimming pool which is shared by the three gites. There was good off-road parking provided, and we had plenty of space on our terrace to store our bikes. The gites are in a rural location - right on the edge of La Chappelle and surrounded by fields - but with a nice farm shop selling local produce within walking distance. We found it an excellent base from which to explore Flanders. Sebastien, the owner and host of the gites, is superb. He is professional, helpful, friendly, and only a WhatsApp message away if you need assistance. Best of all he is a walking encyclopedia of the local area and a great source of information!

Negative: It is hard to find fault - the only thing I would change would be to supply some large and fluffier bath towels!
