Summary: My husband and our family, 12 of us, spent our holiday here at this elegant and luxury 5*Manor house. The location is set not too far from several local villages, where you can buy everything you need from the local artisans. The nearest larger town, is approx. 18KM away. The house is set in a beautiful quiet location surrounded by fields and not overlooked at all. We were extremely impressed by the cleanliness and the facilities of the Manor itself. Each bedroom was large with an ensuite bathroom and plenty of space for us all. The kitchen is every cooks dream. Spacious and fully equipped to tailor for your every need. If you don’t fancy cooking, the owners can arrange for a chef to come and cook for you. We loved the heated pool and the pool table and the occasional game of boules. The owners prepared a pack for us with information on the area so we didn’t have to look for good restaurants or things to do, it was all in the pack. Really helpful! If you are after a little adrenaline, close by there is a Karting track worth going to or taking a micro-light aircraft from Lalbenque (6KM) away to view the area from the sky or even skydive. In Cahor you can hire bikes and take boat trips. We went on a boat trip down the River Lot, worth every penny to see the beautiful views. I would highly recommend Manoir Les Guillardoux for a family or a group of friends looking for a combination of relaxation, culture and adrenaline! Thank you to Bob and Josiane (the owners) for helping making this holiday great for us all.

Summary: From arrival to departure the house, facilities, and the location never failed to impress. It is equipped and appointed to a very high specification. We have many happy memories of convivial evenings enjoying the ambience and tranquillity of the surrounding. A perfect place to relax and unwind. When we wanted to be more active there are plenty of fascinating places in the area to keep us entertained, too many and too varied to list here but the information provided by the owners is comprehensive and accurate. We will be back!

Summary: We attended several events here at the Manoir organised by the owners, Josiane and Bob, who couldn't be better hosts. We had a tour of the house which has been renovated and decorated beautifully. I have become very fussy over the years about where I stay and the standard of accommodation, but I would have no hesitation in booking this lovely property should we want to be looking to holiday in this region again or recommend it to friends and family. There is much to explore in the area and I understand it is a cyclists paradise.

Summary: We have visited the area before and wanted somewhere special to stay for a special celebration. We certainly feel like we found a hidden gem. The Manoir Les Gaillardoux is a beautiful property set in stunning grounds. The Interior is exquisitely furnished in classic French style with some wonderful features. Superb modern ensuite bathrooms and spacious rooms throughout. The pool is perfect and surrounded by traditional stone walls and a fabulous pigeonnier. Our host were very welcoming and informative with great suggestions for sight seeing, activities and the obligatory wine tasting. Our stay was too short so we will be planning another visit as soon as we can.

Summary: "In July, 2011, our group of family and friends spent two very happy weeks at this lovely house in a beautiful and unspoiled part of France. All of the rooms are large, well furnished and equipped, including the kitchen. There are two large refrigerators and two automatic washing machines. Most importantly the beds are comfortable. Our party of 8 had more than enough room for everyone never to feel at all crowded. Overlooking the garden and the fields beyond is a spacious patio, equipped with two big tables, huge umbrellas, and a first class gas barbeque. At the front there is a large swimming pool. The Manoir, about ten minutes south of beautiful Cahors, is situated in bucolic splendour on a large property looking out upon working farms and the hilltop town of Montdoumerc. Scores of wine estates are nearby, many offering tastings and restaurants. Many great sights and weekly markets are within an easy drive. We all had a great time."
