Positive: Very peaceful location, the family who runs the homestay is very friendly and lovely. I booked for one night but ended up staying 1 week. Getting to the place is bit of a mission since its in the mountains, so its best to bring some food and supplies with you so you can relax the surroundings once you arrive.But there's boda bodas in a junction quite near the house often, and water & beer is sold at the homestay & there is plenty of local fruit avocado etc available, and some restaurants deliver to the location!

Positive: It was lovely and scenic, very peaceful. The host family were lovely and there was plenty of food. My room was small but lovely, clean and comfortable. You have a toilet too.

Negative: The food was a little pricey at £7 and there's no sink in your room. It's a steep hill up and a steep bit going down to the property for a few minutes, so not advisable if you have mobility issues.

Positive: Steve and his wife Moana are great Hosts. The atmosphere was lovely! They are always really welcoming. The Room is small but absolutely fine for two people. We had the best food so far in Tansania, prepared by Moana! Wow that was amazing. Steve also offered a ride early in the Morning to the Bus stand, so that we could catch our Bus back to Moshi.

Negative: There is still in wifi, but a few days offline also dont hurt.

Summary: Lovely Stay at Galapagos Homestay. We loved to hang out at the terrace and enjoyed the homemade Food so so much!

Positive: Very sympathetic family and host Steve will make your stay exceptional. Steve will drive you to local pubs and sights on his motorcycle. Great stay.

Negative: The cheapest room is s bit small. No wifi.

Positive: The Owner of the Galapagos Homestay is very lovely and welcoming. He took a lot of time to sit with us, drink tea and explain our questions about the sourronding Mountains and everything else. Everything was very, very clean, especially the rooms. There was hot water in the shower. Dinner was served in the living room and it was delciously homemade, containing of traditional tanzanian cuisine. Vegetarian (probably also vegan though we didn't ask that specifically) options were plenty.

Negative: The Homestay is a bit further away from the "center" of Lushoto and because we travelled in the rainy season, the dirt roads, which led to the place, were quiet slippery. Also, it was not easy to find but you can call the number of the Homestay Owner and he will give your Taxidriver the directions needed.

Summary: Lovely, welcoming and very comfortable stay.
