Positive: Clean, comfortable bedroom with stylish shower room. Lovely free continental breakfast.
Negative: Minor point - coffee machines need checking more regularly during breakfast as they run out of water and milk regularly.

Negative: The buffet breakfast was very minimal - variety of foods needed to be greater. The choice of eggs or a protein would ve greatly appreciated.

Positive: New Hotel has only been open 4 days. The dining area was very nice. Unfortunately breakfasts were only pastries, cereals and fruit. No cooked breakfast available.
Summary: A few teething problems with the makings of a good hotel!.. Brilliant Location and Great Staff!

Positive: Location, staff, decor. Free bubbles and free pre-dinner drinks. The staff could not have been more attentive or helpful. We are aware this is very early days for a hotel which is needed in Fremantle.
Negative: We are aged mid 70s and were there for our 51st wedding anniversary. In the suite our bed was located in the window and one had to climb into the bed just from one side. Because the bed was on a pedestal this was very awkward for us. The person sleeping near the window was locked in all night. This is not always a good thing.
Summary: It was fun but at times physically awkward for us. We were offered another room but had settled in.

Positive: The Garde hotel itself is new so the facilities are new. The location is fantastic.
Negative: Firstly i thought I was booking for the “Warders cottages” based on the information on booking.com.au and the images. it was not made clear that there was a separate and new hotel and that I would be staying in a hotel. I specifically chose the warders as I loved the idea of staying in “boutique cottages” that were renovated from old buildings, to say I was disappointed when I was in fact staying in a newly build hotel is an understatement. There is nothing wrong with the hotel but when you have a certain expectation (like Beautiful renovated cottages) and you get the complete opposite it’s a hard one to swallow - so bookers please be aware of where they actually put you if it’s the cottages you are after. Sadly the rest of my experience didn’t close the gap… The breakfast that was included was also sub par. I paid extra for a barista made coffee which was the same quality as the machine one and there is no warm food and the “house made” muesli tasted burnt, I could not eat it. So I went out for some food after and didn’t even bother the second morning. My room was also above a wonderfully vibrant night club so make sure you bring earphones to help you drown out the noise! Finally, I had some trouble with the car park (stuck outside for quite some time and nobody answering to let me in when my pass wasn’t working) and instead of apologising the staff member told me where I “should have gone in” - making me feel like I had inconvenienced her when infact that information would have been helpful when I arrived and clearly if I knew that I wouldn’t have been trying so hard to get in!
Summary: Expectation vs reality left me massively disappointed - what a shame!
