Beautiful Garden Mews on one of Killiney's most Historic Estates. A five-minute walk to the breathtaking Killiney Bay with its sweeping coastal views. With a number of villages nearby including Dalkey village which is reminiscent of a French Medieval town with every convenience and a host of restaurants and quaint pubs. The Estate is a great base to discover the beautiful island of Ireland. There is a DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transport) train 5 minutes stroll to the beachfront station to bring you into the city of Dublin.
Killiney is widely regarded as the place to live in Dublin. It has the nickname of the "Rock Star Belt". Killiney and its close neighbour Dalkey don't take themselves too seriously and the locals are some of the friendliest you could ever hope to meet. The Valclusa Estate is the preferred location for many film directors, film and music producers, writers, actors, musicians and film studios including Universal, Netflix, History Channel and the Irish Film Studios.

Summary: Loved loved LOVED our stay! Fave place we stayed in Ireland. Bed was ridiculously comfy. Easy access to beach, train, cute little towns like Dalkey, Bray & Greystones. Karen was very thoughtful with recommendations!

Summary: This cottage is unique, cozy, private, and lovely! The gate house of a large manor, it sits inside the private grounds. A new kitchen and bath complement the more charmingly rustic aspects of the home. It was perfect for my husband and I and I highly recommend it. Hoping to stay again one day!

Summary: This cozy cottage was a great base to explore Killiney, Dalkey and the surrounding towns. The Dart was an easy 6 minute walk and even getting to Dublin was only 20 minutes. Great dining and shopping options in Dalkey only 1 Dart stop away. The cottage had everything we needed to eat in when we wanted. Very clean and modern and Karen was very quick to respond to all questions. We had a fantastic stay!

Summary: The cottage was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and had tea/coffee, condiments, cleaning products, kitchen towel etc. There was a convenience store and pharmacy within a 2 minute walk(shortcut through the neighbouring Church grounds) so it was easy to stock up with anything needed. We were a very pleasant 10 minute walk from the dart, a rapid rail system. It took us everywhere we needed to go, including into the city centre. Despite being so close to the city, it felt as if we were in the peaceful countryside. We will definitely be back as it was one of the nicest rentals we have had in Dublin.

Summary: We loved our time on this property, very pretty, beautifully decorated, perfect for the two of us. The owner Karen, is friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. She even made dinner reservations for us in Dalkey. Walking distance to the Killiney train station made it super easy for us to stay with no need for a car. The only criticisms that we have is that the sofa is really low and not very comfortable, so when we stayed in on evenings it was a little difficult to sit and read or watch tv and that we would have liked the kitchen to have a few more utensils etc because we really like to shop locally and cook; if you're not going to be eating at home much this certainly won't be an issue, and finally it would be helpful to have instructions for the washer, especially for those of us from the US who are not really accustomed to the single unit washer/dryer combo. Really these are small things which we worked out perfectly but felt that they would help to enhance a stay. Thank you Karen, we will be back next year!
