Summary: The property owners are amazing and they went above and beyond to make sure the experience was outstanding. The views and surroundings areas are spectacular. I would love to come back and bring my family to experience the apls in this amazing location.

Summary: Very friendly owner. It was a busy day at the Gasthaus due to a regional cycling event. Service was a bit held up as a result. Meal and breakfast were very good, room was small but comfortable - a little too hot with the window closed, a little too cool if open. Bathrooms well equipped.

Summary: Very nice place, super friendy hosts, really tasty food, the flammkuchen was the best ever. Also the Capun was very tasty. Butter from the alp top next to the house was superb. All and all a solid 10+ rating. /Johan & Fabian

Summary: Really lovely and homely welcome to a family run house with some delicious eating and relaxing in a beautiful Alpine landscape. The magic was in the attention to detail and the little and welcome surprises that appeared throughout our stay. To tell you about them would be to spoil the surprise. Go and find out for yourself. You will find yourself returning for a second stay! Families of ALL ages will enjoy this stay.

Summary: This proved to be a great base from which to do some motorcycle touring around the Alps with my son and I'm so glad we stayed for 3 nights here instead of moving around to different places. Sandra and Roli were great hosts and gave us a very warm welcome and took great care of us. Our twin room was basic but very comfortable and prepared to a high standard. Everything exceeded our expectations and a 2 star rating for this place is misleadingly low for the standard of everything we experienced. The restraurant serves great food - locally produced tradition Swiss fare which was the best food we had on our 5 days of touring the country (try the capuns!). There is a sauna and 'hotpot' available (an outdoor hot tub filled with Swiss mountain water and heated by a wood burning stove) and I recommend this as a great experience for an evening with your travelling companion(s) to enjoy together as you take in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. As it takes 5 hours to heat up this needs to be arranged in advance if you are only staying for one night. I travel a lot and this has been my favourite place to stay for many years. My advice is to use this wonderful place in the Alps as a base rather than a one night stop over!

Summary: The previous reviewer's description of the hotel's style, layout and isolation is accurate, but I loved it. To me, the hotel felt very familial - you wear slippers around the building, most of the lodgers dine in the restaurant, and the owners treat you as a guest in their home, rather than just a reservation number. Also, the owners have chickens and lamas that wander around the grounds outside of the hotel during the day, adding to the down-home experience. They also have a hot tub and (I think) a sauna - though they cost extra. If you just want to relax, meet interesting people and eat good, home-cooked food for a couple of days (or just for an evening) then this is the place to do it.
