Gorgeous English basement apartment is stunning corner townhouse 3 blocks from Capitol Stanton Park is directly across the street. 3 blocks to Capitol and Union Station metro. Around the corner from fantastic restaurants. Absolute top Capitol Hill location.
Open floorplan for spacious dining, kitchen, and living room space. Queen bed in main bedroom and high quality leather futon in second bedroom. Washer/dryer in apartment. Beautiful outdoor patio.
Capitol Hill is perfect. Gorgeous, historic, tons of restaurants and nightlife, excellent metro access. Patrolled by US Capitol police and other agencies. There is a permanent manned federal police presence directly across the street.
You may on occasion hear noise from the occupants of the main house upstairs. We do ask that all guests maintain quiet hours but there is no guarantee of that.

Summary: We stayed at the house for seven days while we had multiple business meetings. Having a parking space right st the house was huge for us. The property is also located right across the street from a park and playground it was perfect for taking the kids to. Union Station is an easy walk away where you can use public transportation to get anywhere in DC. The beds were very comfortable and so were the lounge areas. There is really nothing to complain about at all. Suggestions for improvement : Swap at cable TV with appletv. I wanted to watch my Netflix and Hulu shows but had no way to do it. A little bit more of a supply of toilet paper would have been helpful. Overall if the house is available I highly recommend it. I can't imagine there is a better place to stay in DC.

Summary: Property was great. House was clean, plenty of room with all of the amenities you'd have at home. Location was perfect for exploring the National Mall as well as the Eastern Market. We have already recommended it to our friends.

Summary: The home is rich in character and situated near shops and restaurants and in walking distance to the National Mall. The living spaces are nice in the home which is also in a good neighborhood. I would stay again in this property. The property manager was always available and there is an assigned parking space which is a commodity in DC. Highly recommend this home.

Summary: Accomdations were great, except there weren't enough dining room chairs to host a Thanksgiving dinner for 6 around the dining room table. We checked out of the apartment on Nov 24th. Our damage deposit was to be refunded to us by Dec 1st .... when it wasn't I contacted VRBO and they first said the owner hadn't approved the refund of the deposit. I checked with the owner and was advised the refund of the damage deposit was authorized immediately upon our checking out of the apartment. Bringing this info to the attention of VRBO, I was then advised that they couldn't (or wouldn't) tell me when the deposit would be refunded to my account. It finally showed up several days after the promised date of Dec 1st. In the future, we will think twice about using properties registered with VRBO.

Summary: We spent four nights here with our children and their spouses, the home fit our needs and met all expectations. Clean and roomy. the location was excellent close to Union Station with restaurants, liquor store and an excellent neighborhood grocery all very close (two blocks). We are DC regulars and without hesitation would stay again!

Summary: Our family greatly enjoyed our stay at this home. Very convenient access to Capitol Hill attractions, public transportation (Metro and Circulators) and some nice restaurants. The home is spacious, nicely furnished and the mattresses very comfortable. We enjoyed the view of the park, and Uber rides were always available within a very short time. Would definitely stay here again, thank you for sharing your home!

Summary: This is a great house to stay in for a DC visit. The Capitol is just down the street. Union Station with all its food choices and the Metro is a 10 minute walk. Beyond that, another 15-25 minutes are all the museums and monuments you want to see. Great playground across the street. Easy walk to Eastern Market. The house itself is comfortable and very spacious. Brian was so helpful and accommodating. Our family was very pleased and had a wonderful time.

Summary: Our family so enjoyed our stay at this home! It was centrally located allowing leisurely walks to the Mall, museums and monuments. Furnishings were lovely and so inviting. We enjoyed cooking evening meals in a kitchen large enough to enable family preparation. This home is a great foundation for a family wanting to focus on all the wonderful offerings here in DC.
