Summary: The comfortable roofed terras, the large house and the quiet garden. The hospitality, the cleaning/maintenance of the house and the absence of essential starting products such as water, pepper, salt, coffee filter bags (in most houses these are available). It is not hospitable!

Summary: A lovely traditional style Spanish finca which had everything that we needed to make our stay here comfortable and enjoyable. It is situated ten minutes walking distance to the bars and shops, which we enjoyed using, but equally it was very pleasant to sit in the covered veranda or sunbathe on the large terrace. If you are looking for peace and quiet than this property is ideal.

Summary: Located near the airport, this property is ideally located to explore both the abundance of places of interest in the east and north of Gran Canaria and the popular southern resorts. The house is large, all on one floor and well kept. Rooms are spacious, especially the "master bedroom" and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is adequately equipped for self catering. There is only a small electric counter top oven so cooking a regular size pizza for a family, let alone a few pizzas, is out of the question. Wifi was faultless but we couldn't get chrome cast to work. The property is set in a large garden with a variety of fruit trees, cacti and palm trees and has a dedicated barbeque area. There is a washing machine and outdoor washing line. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Summary: We found the property exactly as described in the descriptions. The owner was very responsive and fixed the few things that cropped up very quickly, as well as giving us wood for the barbecue and the living room open fire. We did not expect to be able to pick our own oranges, lemons, bananas, beetroot, and pomegranates from the large garden, so that was a lovely surprise that greatly enhanced breakfast and other meals. The house is on a hill a ten minute walk from the centre of Ingenio. We found the restaurant La Juventud y Tú in Ingenio to be a real gem, very good value for money for nice local food and very friendly service. To go further you will need a car. It is 20 minutes easy drive to the Playa del Ingles which is the best beach. It is 25 minutes to Las Palmas, the capital. We also drove to the Roque Nublo which is an hour on a windy narrow road taking you to 1500 metres via the amazing Caldera. El Lomo is amazing value for money when you consider how much space you are getting. An apartment at the beach which is a third the size costs nearly four times as much. Car hire was very good value too. Everyone was envious of our lovely seven weeks in the Casa El Lomo. We were very lucky to stay there.

Summary: We stayed here for a week in February and it was ideal, as there was an open wood fire for use in the evening as well as other heating if required. It was very peaceful and there was a good selection of restaurants within walking distance. The church was also within easy walking distance if you wanted to go to Mass. A very enjoyable stay.
