Positive: Great old historic house near the center of Gettysburg. Has all the creakiness and character you would expect of an old house in a historic city. Spacious, clean, comfortable. Easy walk to central square surrounded by stores and eateries. Good private parking for drivers with space for two cars. Excellent wifi and security. Very responsive hosts.
Negative: Some road and neighborhood noise.

Negative: My only concern was that there weren’t curtain on back door/ side window and I would have preferred that. Otherwise no complaints!

Positive: Everything. The location, cleanliness, well thought out amenities. The house was very comfortable and felt like home. The communication was perfect. The owners were very accommodating when I mixed up the reservations and worked to resolve the issue I had created. Children will love the bunk room. The location was incredible. Walking distance to restaurants, shops, and a modern grocery store. The square was a 5-minute walk and we had a wonderful dinner at The Pub. We found an amazing coffee shop around the corner called Presidents Coffee. We took a fun pottery class next door to the coffee shop. Then had Shepherds Pie at Garryowen Irish Pub a block away. It was a 10-minute walk to the Dobbin House (the hour+ wait for lunch was worth it). Also drove to the Round Barn in Biglerville - fantastic marketplace. And of course, the Battlefield. It was an amazing trip for 3 friends who have been together for 50 years. The best trips are always about the friendship, but this year, it was based in an incredible house and we wouldn't change a thing.
Negative: One friend felt her bedroom was too cold. If you get cold easily, bring warmer sleepwear and you'll be fine.

Positive: We were very happy to have a kitchen to use. We were able to make anything we wanted. That allowed us to save hundreds instead of eating out every meal.

Positive: The Getty House is an exceptional find! The location is perfect for walking around town to shop and eat. So many great restaurants within a few block radius. Our group of 4 loved it. Roomy and so comfortable. Our 4 day trip just went too fast. Owners were on top of everything and reached out several times to check in on us…we wanted for nothing. Hope to return again!
