Gingerlily is a beautifully designed 2 bedroom lodge, full of luxury features to make your stay extra special. You will not want to leave!
The lodge is very spacious, with the added bonus of an office space and utility room. Its great for families looking for a longer stay, but cosy enough for a romantic break for two. Hollicarrs is ideally located for you to be able to explore all of what Yorkshire has to offer.
The lodge has stunning views over the wildlife ponds, and into the woodland beyond. There is a sunken hot tub on the decking, perfectly posioned to make the best of the views.
Hollicarrs is a quiet rural park, perfect for couples and families looking for a peaceful retreat. We do not accommodate Stag or Hen parties. Please do not book with us if you prefer wild nights to wildlife!

Walking
There are nature trails in abundance at Hollicarrs. Whether you are looking for a gentle stroll, or a more energetic walk over a longer distance, walking trails have been carefully carved out among the trees around the lodge park, leading you through bluebell dells, primrose banks, past our bird hide to spot the wildlife and natural ponds teaming with life.
If you prefer to cover a couple of miles, why not walk through the woods to Skipwith Common Nature Reserve, a site of special scientific interest. This route takes you past the lovely Norman Church in Skipwith and the Drovers Arms is only a slight detour.
Tennis
The hard tennis court is flood lit enabling play throughout the year.
Fishing
The fishing lake at Hollicarrs is within easy walking distance of the lodge park and provides a sheltered, well stocked lake. Fishing platforms have been designed around the area for easy access including disabled areas for wheelchair users.
Bowling Green
A well maintained grass green for expert or beginners play.
Petanque Courts
Horse Riding
Horse Riding is available close to Hollicarrs with Naburn Riding Centre and Queen Margaret's Riding School being only a 5 minutes drive away.
Escrick Park Ride-aways horse riding facility provides over 26 miles of off road, peaceful hacking for horse and rider. With an optional 45 obstacle jumping course, there is adequate riding for every ability. Annual or day fees are required for use of this course.

Summary: Gingerlily lodge was immaculate and had everything we need and more. The views and walks are amazing, seeing all the wildlife was fascinating. We stayed 8 nights and could easily have stayed longer. Everything is so peaceful and relaxing - just what we needed. The hot tub was great and it was checked every day. We couldn’t fault a single thing and can’t wait to come back in October- if not before.

Summary: Booked Gingerlily for my birthday with my husband. We had such a lovely time. The lady that checked us in was so friendly and the lodge was absolutely stunning. Situated on the far end of the park, it was quiet and relaxing sitting in the hot tub watching the wildlife. The lodge has everything you need for the perfect break. Highly recommend and can't wait to return. Thank you.

Summary: We had a lovely weekend break at GingerLilly . A bottle of prosecco on arrival was a nice touch . The accommodation was just perfect and the hot tub got plenty of use while taking advantage of the view across the ponds and observing the wild life .

Summary: Really spacious and well equipped lodge with comfortable beds and lounge furniture. Beautiful outlook over the ponds and woodland and felt very private. Excellent walks and well stocked fishing lake. Olivia’s Tearoom is great for breakfasts, meals and cakes.
