Summary: We spent a week here - 4 adults, 1 child and 2 babies and we all loved it. The house is beautiful, well equipped and nicely presented, the pool is excellent- clean and safe and the owners are very friendly and obliging. Sennevieres is a small, quiet village but there is plenty to do in all directions, a short drive away. We loved the market in Loches - a lovely town. Thank you!

Summary: This place is idyllic. A very quiet and peaceful Gite (country cottage) in gently undulating French countryside, a 3 minute walk from a sleepy French village. Within reasonable driving (1 hour) there are numerous Chateau's, gardens and interesting towns to visit, including the local town of Loches which has lots of character and to look at. The Gite itself is reasonably spacious with 4 good sized double rooms. The sofa-bed in the lounge is fine to sit on but does not lie flat so sleeping on it would be trying for most. There is good WiFi in the lounge but not available in all rooms and as it is based on a 4G mobile phone signal is not unlimited data - fine for surfing and email, not for streaming music, films and some some data-heavy social media sites like Instagram!! Kitchen/lounge etc are a reasonable size and well equipped although we could not start the oven as it's child-lock was on and we did not know how to turn it off! The owners/managers live next door and were very helpful whenever we spoke to them. The swimming pool is easily large enough for cooling down and playing in, but don't expect to be able to do any lengths! The pool was cleaned every 2 days by the owners so always looked immaculate and was fantastic when the temperature was 35C. Considering there is a lovely pond just beyond the pool, there were no mosquitoes or midges to speak of - we guess that is because of the number of frogs in the pond eating them, but the frogs do 'sing' quite a bit at night which may disturb some sleepers if you have the window wide open. When we were there (last week of June and first in July) the wisteria and roses were all flowering and looked great. I would recommend this Gite to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life and needs a bit of rest and recuperation, but can not sit and do nothing for days on end.

Summary: we had an excellent stay, very peacefull.. quit area.. but a lot of things to do inthe area, The house was perfect,the children had an excellent time in the pool. Thx for a nice holiday.

Summary: We stayed in this gite for two weeks, Caroline and all her family were amazing in helping us when we had problems with our hire car. Stunning location, very rural but beautiful. Gite was lovely and well equipped, and was real bonus to have the swimming pool. I would recommend the bar in the village and hiring bikes, lots of wonderful rides in the forest. Le Parc Acquative is worth a visit and the jet skis are good fun especially for younger children. Montresor is beautiful and there are loads of good supermarkets in Loches. Wonderful location and gite, we had a lovely time. Highly recommended.
