it is with regret and sadness that after 12 years of renting my beautiful holiday gite i have taken the decision to no longer rent it out. this year guests have broken bed slats, wardrobe shelves, sensors on motion lights. light posts, trampoline posts, four out of 6 bar stools - the backs are broken, a hinge on bathroom door has been replaced so it now no longer shuts - so deliberate hiding in addition to the normal cups plates etc. i cannot sustain or wish to accept this level of disrespect and damage. guests you know who you are and what you have damaged without owning up.
Welcome to Gite Magnolia Bordeaux formerly Pechicas, set in half an acre and complete with its own solar heated private pool. The gite is located within a forest which is part of the national reserve, it offers you seclusion and peace yet the local village of Prechac is less than a mile away and there are surrounding towns of Langon, Bazas and Villandraut within a fifteen minute drive that offer wonderful restaurants, supermarkets and sightseeing.
The property can sleep up to 12 in beds this is max 6 Adults and 6 Children, so ideal for extended family holidays. the basic price is for 2 people, please add all others that will be staying including children, there is a cot on site for an infant so do not include any infant in the booking just let me know so I can prepare the cot, this means you will see the correct charge and I can ensure your party will be accommodated, if you are unsure please drop me an email of your party ie no adults / children / babies / dogs and I can send you a quote for your stay. Please note that any additional guests will be charged per day / night and the total number cannot exceed 12 including all children, MAX 6 ADULTS AND 6 CHILDREN INC INFANT IN COT.
Guests are requested to leave the Gite in the same condition they found it, this means cleaning all kitchen surfaces, wiping over the hob, clean the BBQ, empty all bins and recycle bins and dispose of, sweep floors. I will wash all bedding and towels. Thankyou.
The chateau Cazeneuve is in the village of Prechac and is open to visitors all through the summer.
The beach of Archacon and Dunes of Pyla are within an hours drive. There is also a zoo, kayaking down the Ciron river, Hostens lake - a great place for children, fishing, golf, karting, ice skating, horse riding and of course wine tasting at any of the many local vineyards.
The local town of Bazas has its own cathedral and many bars and restaurants that surround the town square, a perfect place to sample the local cuisine and wine.

Summary: We've had a lovely stay in de mid of February with beautiful weather. The house is good equipped and in de evenings pretty fast heated up with the fireplace. With al wood and coles provided. We enjoyed te surroundings and Bordeaux is within an hours ride, so there is enough to see and do.

Summary: I took my children and grandchilden to this wonderful spot in this French forest. It was in a great location for things to do and places to go but still having the privacy of our own company within the grounds and around the pool. The owner was very friendly and helpful and although she was there when needed, remained un intrusive respecting our family holiday. She arranged suitable times with us to clean the pool and anything we needed was at hand. Had such a great time cant wait to go back!

Summary: This property afforded our family of 5 adults, one baby and one dog a wonderfully relaxed holiday in this beautiful region of France. The house is beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you could think of needing on a family holiday. Tracey, the owner, lives right next door and is quietly friendly and full of helpful information but is never imposing. The natural setting on the edge of the forest gives a tranquil experience but with easy links to the nearby village for basic supplies and easy roads for finding beautiful French towns for larger shopping trips and sightseeing. For the outdoor type of person it is the perfect location for running, walking and cycling and of course swimming is catered for in its own private pool. The closeness to Bordeaux Airport (one hour easy drive) made it accessible for family who needed to travel independently from the rest of us who used the Plymouth to Roscoff ferry and drove down. It was a lengthy drive, but we stopped off overnight at Vannes both ways to break the journey. The tolls set us back about £30 each way (something to remember when getting your Euros!). This holiday property was perfect for our needs - spacious, clean, beautiful setting, well equipped (even for an 8 month old baby and a dog), modern but with traditional features, and lots of privacy even with Tracey living next door! We loved it and couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Summary: 8 off us went for a 10 day family holiday. We had a great stay!! Tracey is lovely anything you want or need to know about the area from going out for dinner to kyaking along the river she knows. The Gite is very clean and spacious, everything you need is there, all u need is your clothes. The pool was heated and a really good size, with every blowup toy for baby to adult and things to dive for there was all sorts and about 20 towels for our use, which where very handy. The beds where comfy and big and very clean. The kitchen is well equipped from garlic crusher to dishwasher and there is a washing machine which was great with 8 of us. Can't wait to book for next year!!! THANKS FOR THE GREAT STAY !!

Summary: This is a great place to get away from it all. Just inside a forest, with the local village an 8 minute cycle away and a good sized swimming pool, the owners have gone to great efforts to make this a pleasant place to stay. A very well equipped kitchen, with all the mod cons that you would need, a good selection of adult bike and plenty of things to do locally. The two upstairs bedrooms are accessed from a covered outside stair case - which may not suit families with young children given that the toilets and 'master' bedroom is downstairs inside the property. But this was make absolutely clear by the owner and did not, in any way, detract from our stay. Very dog friendly with a large and enclosed garden and plenty of good walks away from the traffic in the woods behind the house. As much (or as little) help from Tracey, the owner, as you might wish and somewhere we would definitely consider returning to.

Summary: I stayed for a long weekend and found the place perfect. It's located in a idealic area and the property itself is beautiful. The rooms were comfortable, the house and all its rooms are furnished to really give a feel of a homely place. I always felt at ease and able to relax during my stay. The owners were lovely people and constantly offered help if needed. It never bothered me that they were present, if anything it was more comforting knowing they were there to help me if I needed advice and we even had a few drinks together. The outside area and pool is just what I needed to enjoy the sun and the peace and quiet. I would reccoment
