Summary: Christmas and New Year in France, 8 people, 2 dogs, 2 cars what a nightmare you would think, but The Courtyards, Stephanie and the May family made it all worth while. They couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable and interesting with their advise on where to go and what to do, Steph's cooking was amazing, we could eat her food everyday if we could, the courtyards is a beautiful place in the countryside, great for walks and sitting in the sun even in December.Its well equipped , comfy with all you need for a short or long holiday. We would recommend to anyone who wanted a great experience. Thanks Steph

Summary: We stayed at Ste Catherine The Courtyard in August and had a fabulous time. It was our first trip abroad with our two children. A 6 year old and 2 year old. We can truly say it catered for all our needs. Ste Catherine is in a beautiful location with stunning views of the french countryside and is only a short drive to local shops. The gite was well equipped with a dishwasher, fridge freezer and a washing machine! It is well thought out with toy box and lots of books for the children's bedtime. Steph also kindly lent us DVDs and board games during our stay too! The kids were very happy playing in the sandpit, play area and pool but equally there is lots of activities a short drive away. The May family were so welcoming and it was was such a relaxed atmosphere. Steph was very helpful with lots of advice on suitable activities locally and the one day the weather forecast wasn't as good she made sure we weren't stuck without a plan with two small kids to entertain.. And kindly booked us all in for chocolate making which was excellent! Our only wish was that we had taken Steph up on the welcome meal! Her food is homemade and delicious and we quickly realised that it was too good to miss out on so took her up on the offer many times during our stay. Not sure I want to say it too loud as it will get booked up! But it was a perfect getaway. We ALL had the post holiday blues when we got home! Many thanks Steph, Charlie & Finn. Summary: You absolutely won't regret a holiday to the beautiful The Courtyard at Ste Catherine. We have just returned from our 3rd stay with the May family - a wonderfully relaxing 2 week break with a 3 year old boy and 11 month old daughter - Yes it is possible!! Stephanie is one of the kindest, friendliest and most helpful people I have had the pleasure to meet, her husband Charlie is equally nice and super helpful and Finn is Freddie's new best friend - helping to teach him to swim as well as the numerous games of soldiers he played with him. On any of our 3 stays nothing has ever been too much trouble, the family go out of their way to ensure we are all having a lovely time and we have already booked to return next year! ( this is a really big thing as I swore I would never return somewhere and I can't get enough of the place it JUST WORKS WITH KIDS!!) Chez Aristide is a wonderfully relaxing well equipped gite with a super comfy master bedroom with proper pillows and duvet. The cot and bunk bed are good quality and the children's rooms are set up with fun duvets and age appropriate boxes of toys and specially picked stories which make bedtime exciting. Bath mat, potty, child loo seat and step are all tucked away ready for you and if you bring your monitor with you you can sit outside and enjoy a delicious meal without worrying about the children as they are safely in the house within the secure courtyard ( or 5 meals in our case as they really are so good). These were the first meals my husband and I have enjoyed since our baby was born last summer and they were perfect. The swimming pool is wonderfully clean and warm our 11 month old daughter was happily splashing around for 45 minutes 2/3 times a day and our son learnt to swim the 5m width in 2 weeks with a wonderful prize from Steph and Finn on our last day of holiday. We were advised and helped with the few times times we ventured off site and had great trips to the beach and zoo and highly recommend both along with the plate painting. Next time we hope to try horse riding and bike rides though you really can have a wonderful holiday within 4 walls of The Courtyard. Don't delay book you really won't regret it.

Summary: What a fabulous week with our 7 and 4 year old girls. Firstly, the accommodation was lovely - great layout with spacious open plan ground floor (with all the necessary crockery and kitchen utensils etc) and 3 lovely airy bedrooms upstairs. Everything was spotless when we arrived. Steph, Charlie and Fin are fantastic hosts - definitely worth using Steph to cook some evening meals, she is very talented. Lovely garden area, and the pool is great, very peaceful even with the children!! We did some great activities: a full day canoeing on the river including stopping for a picnic and swim in the river (really good value and the kids loved it), acro park (similar to Go Ape in the UK but better as suitable for kids & adults of all ages), horse riding, cycle rides, tennis at the local village courts and daily swimming in the pool. There is also a swing set and basketball hoop in the gardens plus the kids loved playing with their dogs and cats. The great weather helped but we had a very relaxing and fun time at The Courtyard - we will definitely return.
