This is a very kid friendly resort community. Our site is centrally located and close walking distance to our recreation areas. Your family will love it here. We have many wonderful memories here with our kids and friends as well as making wonderful friendships within the community. We will miss our summer at Tall Timbers, but due to hectic travel lacrosse schedule, we will not be able to enjoy our TT summer. We know that any family who loves the outdoors and just want to sit-back and relax will find that Tall Tims is the perfect summer, low maintenance, getaway!

Summary: We stayed Memorial Day weekend (24-27 May 2019) and had a great experience once again. The place is again clean and easy to navigate. Linens, pillows, towels, cookware all provided. Just an FYI, I will recommend bringing some heavier blankets for the beds. The A/C works like a charm and of course half of us like it cold and half like it comfortable. The blankets that are provided are the thin type. No biggie, just something to keep in mind. The property had a lot going on to kick off the season with the pool, lake, game room, dances, bonfire and a kids fishing tournament. Three of the kids participated, one received a trophy for biggest fish in his age group (and it was also his first time fishing), and one received a trophy for most fish caught in his age group AND the trophy for all around fisherman for most caught for the entire tournament. We did a lot of fishing from the bridge area closest to the basketball court area and caught Sunny's, Crappie, Trout, Bass, and Catfish. All good size 9-12". There was a ton of snakes so fishing from the bridge also felt the safest. We even got to watch a snake eat a trout. We did bring our golf cart to help get our disabled son (and us) back and forth to the lake and around the property. We also brought our canoe and kayaks and enjoyed ourselves on the lake very much. Everything is within walking distance however be aware it is not a flat area and the house sits at the top of one of the hills. Also note that the Admin office closes early at 5 (even on Friday and Saturday) so if you want to buy firewood or worms do so early, but the gas station down the street sells wood, and Walmart is only 20 min away for any other items you may have forgotten or need. The house is located centrally to many things to do. Our favorite is always Space Farms Zoo. We highly recommend the Mine Tour as well. Overall great value for the house, the location, and everything to do. Even if you don't want to go out, the property has a great fire pit with plenty of chairs provided. The large screened in front porch is a great hang out to fit everything and everyone when a passing shower pops up, or when everyone is taking a break from the hot part of the day. Fans on the porch keep the breeze going for everyone. Once again, we will be planning to come back again for our third visit and we always look forward to it!!!

Summary: This was a nice little property for a really good price! (compared to other properties in the area) The property itself isn't huge inside but it has 2 bedrooms and it was clean. That being said, it has a HUGE outdoor screened in porch and an even bigger out door area with a fire pit. I would say, for someone who likes the outdoors but doesn't necessarily like camping, this is the perfect place! You can pretty much be outside rain or shine and really enjoy the outdoors all while having the modern day conveniences of home. The property is also super close to Mountain Creek which is a great outdoor activity area with a water park, bike park, alpine slide, zip lines, hiking, etc. Overall, if you are looking for a weekend away with friends or a family getaway, and if you enjoy the outdoors, this is the place for you!

Summary: This was a great weekend getaway. We went with 3 couples in order to get away from the crazy laborday weekend and relax. The house was perfect for 6. It was near many things to do. I recommend this home.

Summary: We stayed 6-11 August 2017. Except for a few MINOR things, the stay was great. There was no book or hard copy of rules for the house or campground upon arrival other than the check in email we received. Good things to know for your stay: Make sure the hot water is turned on (switch is in wall panel). 11pm waiting for the shower to get warm is not the time to find out the hot water wasn't on. The oven is a little tricky to figure out how to turn on, but after playing with the buttons we got it working. If your kids want to swim in the deep end of the pool they need to take a swim test (swim width of pool and tread water for 1 minute) The game room was nice and close. Having the hours posted for the game room and the admin building would be helpful. There was a calendar of events for the month posted and that was good. The lot had extra room to park and since we brought a trailer for a canoe and 2 kayaks it was nice to have the extra space. We kept our canoe and kayaks pulled up on the shore (off to the side and out of the way), which I guess wasn't allowed (supposed to rent a storage space) but since we were only there a week they let us keep them on the shore. Just keep in mind if you bring your own - they do not have any canoes to rent. We had a fun and relaxing time - the cabin was close to everything - pool/game room/pond. Fishing was great - almost always caught something - biggest was a 2' catfish, a few bass and tons of sunny's. Mosquitoes will find you when the breeze stops but never dampened our activities. Although small there was plenty of room for everyone, screened in porch was great to hang out and play games, and the fire pit had plenty of room. (Bundles of firewood available at the Admin building for $10 a bundle, and the bundles were good size) FYI!!! - There is no cable, only WiFi. The outside/porch TV is hooked up with a Blu-Ray player with Netflix. Took awhile to figure out which WiFi Network the password went to but eventually found it. WiFi is a bit slow, so if you plan to watch movies (We used a Raspberry Pi) the WiFi will get slow at times and the movie will buffer a lot. We only had one rain day so it didn't hold us back too much. Overall a very quiet and relaxing place to visit, with everything close by. LOL - there was one cabin on the lake that loved to blast the music but not crazy late - it was good music so we didn't mind at all!! We have already discussed coming back to this cabin soon!

Summary: This is a great little place if you are a small family with kids looking for a camping getaway weekend. There are nice amenities at the site, such as a pool, lake, shower house, rec center, coin wash, etc. Everything is within walking distance. The fire pit outside is nice. The house is not squeaky clean (but adequate at a campsite) and there was a lingering septic/sewage odor when you were on the outside porch. I would not recommend it for couples or more than 2 adults. The 2 bedrooms are very small and the beds are not very comfortable. Kids will probably love the bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom, but it's not the best for adults. There is a pull out bed in the couch, but again, it's a pull out- it is what it is. The owners are very helpful and quick to respond via messaging about entrance details and to correspond about issues: A power circuit blew half-way through our stay shutting off power to the master bedroom and the hot water heater broke, but they quickly offered to remedy the situation. One thing I was a bit disappointed in was I specifically asked the owners if there was towels or if I'd need to bring some. They replied that there would be towels but I'd need to bring beach towels (which was true and not a problem). The problem was there were 5 adults staying for 4 days and when we arrived there were 3 towels, 3 washcloths, and no hand towels in the bathroom.. I ended up buying some at the store, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time so that I could have brought my own.
