Positive: A cozy and comfortable house with a spacey yard/garden including a parking space. Very clean, with everything a family needs plus a huge smart TV with NETFLIX, etc. A minute walk to the beach. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Highly recommended!

Positive: Great accommodation in a quiet area, with a beautiful beach nearby and a wide selection of local bars and restaurants. The host and his wife are very friendly, responsive and helpful. The house has everything you need: excellent equipment, big kitchen, air conditioning, drinking tap water, a comfortable bed and pillows, board games, a smart TV, large terrace, outside shower, hammocks, washing machine... The accommodation exceeded our expectations, we were very satisfied and will definitely return! :)

Positive: We had a wonderful time at Golden Retreat. The place is super clean, organized, has all the everyday utilities that could be needed when on holidays, and staying as a family. The hosts have been very helpful and kind from the first day of our stay, until the last. The garden area is amazingly beautiful, with two hammocks that we all enjoyed greatly, a shower to wash when coming back from the sea and a large area for children to play. The safety that the place offered was also very important for us, as we had a 3 and 5 year old along, and they could play safely in the garden. The sea is just a 5 minute walk away, clean, with nice sand. The closest supermarket is at a 20 minute walking distance, but there is a small one, at 2 minutes walking distance for last moment groceries (they even had fruit and vegetables there, with prices being reasonable). If someone is staying with a car, then everything is close by, you are close to the highway exist and the supermarkets in the area, also to the local aquarium and dinosaur park. We will definitely come back when given the opportunity ❤️

Positive: In one of Heraklion's cafes we saw a sentece "Home is not a place, it's a feeling". And it nicely describes our time here: it felt like at home, but better - on vacation, near the sea side, with a perfect weather:-) And the hosts are such friendly people, we hope to meet them again:-)

Positive: You have a cottage of your own, which also has a large outdoor yard. The house has all the necessary equipment, with great attention to detail (2 separate air conditioners for the living room and bedroom; new and complete kitchen equipment, drinking water, smart TV). Everything is new and clean.But the biggest bonus is the hosts. Due to a delay of the plane I was arriving late at night, I have lost the reserved car. The hosts picked me up from the airport. In addition, they checked for me in advance the most convenient local car rental option, they also took me the next day with their personal car to the car rental office where I received a car with which I was satisfied with the quality/price. And last but not least, when I arrived at my destination at night, after a long delay, I found in the fridge real food (cabbage rolls), fruits, vegetables, eggs, olives, bread, dessert. The next morning, before leaving together to rent a car, I received breakfast and fresh fruit again. I wanted to share this experience with you with the hope that you will appreciate and respect both the accommodation and especially the hosts

Positive: We had an amazing stay, loved the outdoor space, with the plants, and the kids wanted to sleep on the hammock! The outdoor shower was quite useful to rinse off after going to the beach. The room was super clean and cute! I wish we had booked more days, so many things to visit in the area. The owners were so lovely and accommodating, and had prepared a small meal when we arrived late because our flight was delayed.
Negative: There was nothing to complain about really. Sometimes mosquitos can be annoying but the owners had a lot of equipment to protect us.
Summary: lovely house, patio and hammocks! Wish we had booked more days.
