Summary: Overall it was just ok. Staff at desk and valet were friendly. Room didn’t have a mini fridge. Didn’t have regular curtains, just blackout that didn’t even close all the way. We did have a single serve coffee pot but had to relocate it because it wasn’t by a plug. Lamp shade had some kind of liquid stain all over it.

Summary: We were impressed from the arrival with the Bellman & Valet service. Hotel was beautiful and clean. At registration you could see the lovely pool area .Desk clerk was pleasant and helpful. Room was terrific. Great sitting area with a table to sit and have coffee or a snack or pizza. Bathroom had a large tub Plus a separate shower. Plenty of towels and washcloths. Large double vanity. View was okay , could see the river off to left. Ate at Landry’s and it was excellent. Got a pizza at Claim Jumper and it was just okay.

Summary: Definitely spend the money on a better view, we were facing a roof and it was kind of a bummer. The bathrooms are fantastic, I don’t understand why the hotel doesn’t put glasses in the rooms. Only paper coffee cups, lame. The hotel is very pretty. Most of the staff was very nice but definitely not everyone. The hotel pool is very nice. I definitely don’t plan on going on a weekend though because it would definitely be too crowded, we were out there on a Tuesday and it was perfect.

Summary: Our recent stay at the Golden Nugget Lake Charles was a major disappointment. The beds and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The pool was overcrowded and poorly maintained—floating debris like hair and fake fingernails made it feel unsanitary and uninviting. Dining was another letdown. The food at Lillie’s lacked authenticity and flavor, and Grotto’s tasted like reheated, day-old frozen meals—a stark contrast to the much better experience we’ve had at their Galveston location. Additionally, while we appreciate the hotel being pet-friendly, it comes with downsides. We encountered dog waste in the hallway directly outside our room that remained uncleaned for over 18 hours. For a resort of this caliber, we expected far better cleanliness and service across the board.

Summary: Visited Easter weekend. Kinda disappointed Hotel does not have refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms. For the price you pay you would think it would. They no longer have the Trolley service or van service that would take you to the other casino near by or pickup to and from the airport. When the Hotel 1st opened services were really great. Now a little bit of a downgrade.
