Positive: The nicest hotel we have ever stayed in, the rooms, service, food and location were all 10/10 couldn’t fault a thing. It’s inland and slightly high up so with this and the shelter/shadow of the gardens made it much cooler and breezy than lower properties. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive and very accommodating. It was quiet and felt very exclusive, a hidden gem.

Positive: Excellent restaurant!!! A different vegetable soup everyday in the menu. Conch chowder is a famous and highly recommended!!! Staff is very polite and attentive and goes far beyond expectations. Hotel has accommodated all our extra requests. Hotel is located inside of the botanic garden, actually. Very nice. The houses are quite far from each other, we have never feel crowded. Pillows are great!
Negative: In our room the ventilator was a little noisy. I think it was quite old.

Positive: Golden Rock Inn is breathtaking! The property’s lush landscaping, eclectic decor, and serene ambiance make you feel as if you’ve stepped into a secluded jungle retreat. The peaceful pool area, combined with thoughtfully placed seating nooks throughout the grounds, creates the perfect setting to unwind—whether you’re soaking in nature or getting lost in a good book. A truly unique and tranquil escape! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious, with large, satisfying portions. Breakfast was included during our stay, and we also had our best dinner on the island at the hotel’s restaurant—it was unforgettable! Even though the property has WiFi, we truly felt off the grid—there were no TVs or unnecessary digital distractions in our room or around the property, allowing us to fully recharge and connect with each other and our surroundings. It was the perfect place to slow down and be present.
Negative: There wasn’t anything I truly disliked about the property, but one thing to note is that there’s no air conditioning. However, with the ceiling fan, standing fan, and a constant breeze, we stayed comfortable at night despite the warm temperatures. If you’re someone who needs A/C, just keep this in mind—but for us, it wasn’t an issue at all!

Positive: We have stayed before and will likely stay again. The location/grounds are incredible, rooms are lovely and the management team are great. Incredible location for a pool, very relaxing.
Negative: We struggled at night, we were sure the rooms had air-con but just 2xfans which on this occasion was not enough. Unfortunately the breakfast service is slow and not with a smile. The staff at another hotel on the island really made our stay, unfortunately not at Golden Rock. Maybe it was just because it was still a little out of season but they no longer had the phones in the rooms/by the pool to call for food/drinks which was a shame.
