Welcome to our Stunning 4 Season WATERFRONT COTTAGE (sleeps 8). We also have an additional one bedroom loft apartment (sleeps 6) located above our garage. When the cottage is rented, we do not rent the apartment out to separate guests. Our private setting is ideal for long term as well as weekly rentals and is perfect for multi-family bookings!!!
You’ll love all that mother nature has to offer on our 3+ acre property lined with birch, oak, maple and evergreen trees! The great rooms 18 foot vaulted ceiling along with a full kitchen is an entertainers dream. The view of the Lake from the cottage great room can be yours to enjoy during any season! Enjoy the stunning views of the lake while you watch the sun rise and set from the private dock, flagstone patio and two decks. French doors off the great room lead to the upper level deck featuring a screened in gazebo with exceptional views of the Lake.
Our cottage is ideal for entertaining your family and friends. In the evenings you’ll enjoy sitting fireside on the flagstone patio roasting marshmallows beneath a blanket of stars.
The public boat launch is less than 5 minutes away. Bring your boat and park it here at your own private dock!

The open concept spacious cottage sleeps 8 (1 King Bed, 1 Queen Bed, 1 Twin Bed and 2 double pull outs), 1.5 bathrooms. Full kitchen includes fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker! Washer and Dryer located in main cottage!!
Apartment Features:
Additional accommodations are available for rent. The apartment is only steps away from the main cottage and is ideal for an additional family to enjoy! The apartment sleeps up to 6 (1 Queen bed, 1 double sized bed and 1 double pull out futon). The Kitchen is equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker. The cozy apartment also features a balcony overlooking the property as well as the lake, and is an additional rental. The apartment is equipped with a full bathroom and kitchen!
We also offer Wifi and high speed internet for those who need to stay in touch with family and friends or continue to work remotely!
We have two fishing kayaks available for your paddling pleasure, a 12 foot lake mat and a 6 person hot tub!!!
Just outside of Port Loring, Jacks Lake is part of a five lake-chain, offering 5 miles of boating, fishing, swimming and exploring. Ideal for ice fishing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling with the OFSC trails very close by. Monthly and weekly rentals are also available year round for both the cottage and/or apartment.

What you’ll need to bring:
Bed linens including sheets, pillows, blankets, towels, facecloths, dish towels, laundry soap, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, toilet paper, paper towels. We supply mattress pads.
Cottage Rules:
Please No smoking or vaping indoors in the cottage or apartment, no pets, no more than 14 guests on property (8 in main cottage, 6 in apartment). Abide by all local campfire restrictions. Please leave cottage clean and tidy. Remove all garbage and recycling items upon departure. Please NO Pets due to family pet allergies, no exceptions.
Rental Fees
Cottage booking and fees processed through VRBO.
Apartment booking requests managed through owners, and fees will be added to your booking.
Apartment Rental Fee: $175 per/night, plus $100 cleaning fee per booking for the cottage and $70 cleaning fee per booking for the apartment.
Refundable Damage Deposit: $500 refunded within 24 hrs after checkout.

Summary: We stayed at Christina and Preben’s for just one night, I wish we booked a longer stay. Everything was clean, and comfortable. The location is off the main road which is convenient, but feels further out in how quiet and peaceful the area is. Christina and Preben are role model hosts and were lovely to correspond with. I hope to come back!

Summary: Everything about this property was amazing!!! The hosts were very quick to respond to a tiny issue we had at the start of our trip about wifi other then that we had zero issues! The cottage and apartment were exactly as shown in the pictures and in immaculate condition. The hot tub was a hit in the evenings as it was cooler out. The garbage dump and boat launch are only a few minutes away. Very convenient we didn’t have far to go! However, one downfall for me personally the beds are to hard but that is preference and nothing at all against the AMAZING time our family had!! We will most definitely be back! Thank you Preben and Christina!!! 🌻💗

Summary: Stayed for a week in August with the family and had a great time. The cottage is beautiful and very clean, with every convenience you'd need. It's a quiet location at the end of a small lake (in a larger chain of lakes) We enjoyed plenty of relaxation by the water, swimming, paddling and fishing. Bonus was the high speed internet with TV (so we could catch some of the summer olympics while there) - and of course the hot tub. Preben and Christina were very responsive to the few questions we had. Would definitely come back.

Summary: Our stay at this amazing cottage was picture-perfect! Firstly, the responses by the hosts, Christina and Preban, were very much appreciated - responses to our questions were quick and so detailed! I had no doubt what to expect and we were able to plan for a wonderful vacation. The property was in excellent condition, inside and out. Everything was very clean. We appreciated the hot tub which was well-maintained and we did our job to continue to apply the necessary chemicals. We really appreciated the bug screen on the gazebo (bugs in May can be overwhelming but as regular campers, we were not discouraged to enjoy the outdoors). The dock was an amazing place to enjoy the hot weather (and some recreational fishing) and the kayaks were in excellent condition. The firepit was well-equipped with great seating and gave us an opportunity to enjoy the cottage nightlife outdoors. The cottage was stocked with everything you would commonly need, inside and out, for a stress-free stay. The TV streaming was not used much because the weather was so perfect but having the choice for a rainy/cold day would be nice. Internet wifi was very strong everywhere on the property. We have already told many friends and family about the place and look forward to the next opportunity to stay and bring some additional guests with us and use the loft. Thanks again, Christina and Preban - we love your place!

Summary: The place was easy to get to. Right off the main road. As we walked in the door we were greated with a stunning view of the lake accross the open concept main floor. We immediately knew that our stay was going to be excellent! The windows in the living room overlook the beautiful lake. There's a hottub off the kitchen we used every day! The exposed rock in the master bedroom was a neat feature. This place is at the top of our list for places we would revisit!!!
