6 Bedroom House in Wellesley Island

This gorgeous six bedroom cottage is in Westminster Park on Wellesley Island in the Thousand Islands. As one of the larger islands, Wellesley Island is accessible by car.
The house is on one acre, has six bedrooms, two full bathrooms, two large living rooms and an enormous (about 50 feet long) beautiful screened-in porch, which also wraps around the side of the house. The house overlooks the water and is across from Boldt Castle (see photo). There is a small beach in front of the house, a boat house, and dock. The property is in a bay and therefore is great for swimming, fishing, and boating. Alexandria Bay is on the other side of Boldt Castle and an easy trip (five to ten minutes by boat or 15-20 minutes by car).
The kitchen and one bathroom have been significantly upgraded recently. The entire house has also been rewired for safety and convenience.
The house has six bedrooms: One bedroom has a queen, one has a full, one has a king (which could be divided into two singles), two bedrooms each have two single beds in them; and one bedroom has three single beds. Around the corner on the 50-foot long porch is another full sized bed.
The house is also about one mile from the TI Country Club, a beautiful club with 36 holes of great golf, a restaurant, a pool, tennis courts and a reputation for 1000 Islands hospitality that goes back over a hundred years.
Please note that our local manager can provide linens (sheets and bath towels) for a cost of $225. If you are interested, let me know after booking. You will pay her directly for this service.
The dog/fee is $300/dog/stay.

Summary: Accommodations are as advertised. Old classic lake house furnished with classic furniture from the era that it was built. Very retro but still comfortable. Large screened porch was our favorite. Awesome views.

Summary: The house was perfect for our group. There were 13 of us and we had a great time being together. The house is also big enough that you just didn't feel like you were on top of each other. The porch and the dock were the best spots for early morning and late night tranquility. Location is perfect, just a short drive or a quick boat ride to A Bay. Would highly recommend!

Summary: This property is exactly what is expected for a 1000 island vacation. The older home feel but with everything you need on a perfect property right on the river. The home owner is very nice and easy to work with. This was our 2nd time at this property and we will be back

Summary: I can't put into words what a pleasure it was to stay in this classic St. Lawrence home. Staying here felt like going back in time. The screened in front porch was a gem, there was ample boat docking, plenty of parking, wonderful owners, nice neighbors, beautiful river/castle/shipping lane views, just a few minute boat ride to the Alexandria Bay public dock. The only advice I would give to future renters is to bring enough clothes for the week as the washer and dryer are for emergency use only.

Summary: The property is located with a fantastic view of the Bolt Castle and waterways. Day or night it is very relaxing and enjoyable to watch the activities. The distant sounds of the evening dinner cruise boats and horns of large freighters really left our family with a very fond feeling. We will be back next year if there is an opening

Summary: The house and property were great! Location was perfect. Spent mornings watching sunrise and activity on the river, boating in the afternoons and then either a short drive to the bay for dinner or we all gathered around the table and just enjoyed our time together. The house was idyllic and the owner quick to respond. 5 stars, Would definitely recommend for a large group.

Summary: We had a wonderful time! We loved the rustic feel of the camp and had the week of a lifetime! The views of the St. Lawrence River and Boldt Castle were amazing. We spent beautiful nights on the wonderful dock watching the moon rise on the river. Can’t wait to return next summer!

Summary: This home is clean, spacious, in a park-like setting with a very large screened-in, wrap-around porch and plenty of parking. It comes with an average sized dock, with easy in/out access for your boat. The kitchen is workable but a bit small. Plenty of bedroom options. Most of your time will be spent on the porch if the weather allows. One challenge is no steps down to the dock, just a few well-beaten foot paths. We would recommend this home for your next family reunion:)

Summary: This property has a perfect location!! The screened porch is magnificent—spent quite some time there watching the water Kitchen is well stocked. Although this is an older home and needs a little work in some places—it was perfect for us and Randy couldn’t have been more accommodating. Thank you for allowing us to stay the week during this pandemic. It was just what we all needed!! Stay well everyone!😀
