Summary: Sure it’s a beautiful house but we came to fish. However my wife and daughter weren’t as interested in getting up before daylight as my son and I were. They preferred to get up later and head to Hogg Island or West Cove Access and catch crabs both mornings. The problem was that we were all in the same vehicle. Luckily there is a very old abandoned dock and grave ramp a very short walk from the house. While it may not work for everyone it was more than adequate for my 18 foot bass boat. We launched each morning drove the truck back to the house, unhooked the trailer to made the 2 minute walk back to the ramp. No canal to fool with because this ramp is ON the shipping channel. For me this makes the house not only the best in Hackberry but also a very good value.
