Summary: Great spot for a couple with an outdoor deck facing the lake. We enjoyed propane fire on the deck and listening to the wildlife in the evenings. Lots of good restaurants and shopping within 10 miles. Suggest going to Historic Folsom, which is about a 10 minute drive.

Summary: Wonderful, gorgeous view. Pleasant accommodations and close to my sister/husband and niece. We enjoyed Folsom Prison, Sutter Gold Rush and just playing cards. Richard offered use of the pool, too. Great Owners. Thanks so much! Cheryl and Bob

Summary: The deck was the best part of the property! The vista was fantastic. The property was not as clean as i had hoped. Dead and decomposing deer onwithin 6 feet of deck and nothing could have been done to get it removed?

Summary: Nice property, nice owner. I had a few issues: rotting deer carcass next to the deck. This was on the neighbors property which was a house under construction. I do think it could have been addressed. Multiple spiders throughout the cottage. They were the daddy long legs variety but there were many. I was also not able to have more than 2 visitors which put me in a predicament with family I had traveled days to see. We went to a hotel and used their courtyard without any problems. I did enjoy the view and peaceful nature when the construction workers weren’t making lots of noise into Friday evening and all day Saturday. I do think you will enjoy this property. Just be aware of the visitors rules and check on the spiders and next door issues.

Summary: The property was exactly what I was looking for. I’m so glad that there wasn’t any noisy house construction from the house being built next-door, I mostly just sat on the deck and enjoyed a cup of coffee or tea and watched the wildlife and took a very pleasant hike straight off the property around the lake. I would definitely love to stay there again

Summary: We continue to come back to this beautiful place with a view of the lake. It is located very near family we are visiting and we are so happy to have discovered it. The view is spectacular. But the space inside is also so lovely. Wendy and Richard have thought of everything you could need. They are wonderful hosts. Every time we come back we feel like we are returning to a little bit of paradise away from home!
