"You have to experience this home in person to truly understand how wonderful it is. The property is huge with lots of outside seating areas to enjoy the gorgeous grounds. The grounds are meticulously maintained with beautiful flowers and fruit trees everywhere you look. The pool area is stunning with a large, deep pool. Inside, the home is spotless and wonderfully old but with all of the modern amenities you need. Lots of toys for kids to play with. Disneyland is a 25 minute drive away. Lots of good beaches. Luisa is welcoming, warm, responsive and helpful. This is the most amazing place I have ever stayed and I hope to return one day."
This was one of our reviews for our Gorgeous California Spanish style Villa located only 18 miles from downtown LA, airport, beach, Disneyland, breathtaking designed garden, fountain, playground, pool . mountains & any attraction. A truly unique architectural gem with the comfort of today life style surrounded by a Air conditioner & new appliances. A perfect place to feel like in your own resort, relax, create great memories, play the piano, take great pictures & spend a memorable vacations as a couple, with friends or family.
The pool in not heated, only the jacuzzi.
The pool heater is $100/day for the duration of the trip, minimum 3 days, please keep in mind the it takes a least 1 day to get the water warm.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in the secret garden home. However, it does need some updating and deep cleaning. The kitchen faucet is broken and leaky which makes it hard to do the dishes without the hose spraying everywhere. The spa did not work when we tried to use it. It never heated above 80 degrees. The towels and bed linens could use replacement. There was a mildew smell throughout the house.

Summary: I had rented this property a year in advance for our 7 day stay Christmas Day thru New Years day.The day before we arrived we were told the pool heater was broken. No big deal, things happen. However, I had emailed two days prior with no response. The home was cute, it was supplied nicely for our needs. There was no check or check out list. There was no real direction on the lights in the house or laundry room.(super confusing) No suggestion for dinning or entertainment. No guest book. Just a bottle of Wine on the table, that I wasn't sure was ours or for looks. It was the strangest VRBO I have ever stayed in and we rent on average two a year. As stated the communication was lacking. Instead of calling to tell me two men were coming to the home at night, while the other two adult members of my family were gone. It was a little unnerving. The next day, I was there alone again, and the pool guy opens the gate, and walks in to work on the pool heater. Upon arrival the outdoor area was dirty, spider webs, leaves everywhere. I'm from Oregon, I get leaves. But not when someone has paid a lot of money to stay at a VRBO. The pool was dirty, and the Hot tub cover smelled a bit moldy. Not at all what I was expecting, a bit disappointed for a trip we had been planning in general for about 5 years. It was my daughters 10th Birthday, and our first trip to the Los Angeles area and Disneyland. We will not be back, or use this host again. Happy Travels :)

Summary: We are Whittier college graduates. We were in Whittier to celebrate a friends memorial and also to participate in your college homecoming activities. We chose this VRBO home due to its proximity to the college and the fact that it looked like a quaint, quiet quaint place on-line. Mostly, we enjoyed our stay. The house was very secluded in a nice neighborhood. We were disappointed that Home has some sort of infestation of tiny mosquitoes that we were not forewarned about. My wife and another guest were bitten in what we thought were bedbugs, but turned out to be these mosquitoes. That was disappointing. My recommendation to the host given the fact that they knew about this problem would’ve been to have been up-front and let us know about this in advance.

Summary: The property is spectacular, with plenty of room for everyone. The house itself is very well equipped and there were even some basic ingredients left in the kitchen - meaning we just had to cover the food basis a for the first couple of days. Luisa is a great host, with fabulous communication and was very helpful with our additional requests and questions. Our party included teenagers, who were particularly happy with the high speed internet and Smart TV’s in all the bedrooms! We would highly recommend this property for an ideal base to explore LA and the surrounding areas.

Summary: This house was perfect for our family of six. Plenty of space, and the outdoor area was really nice and we loved the pool. The host was very friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend a stay in this house! We would love to come back. ☀️
