Summary: A group of girlfriends and I did a ladies weekend of shopping and celebrating, using Charmaine’s property as our homey hub. We were less than ten minutes from great attractions and restaurants such as Magnolia, Bitty & Beau’s Coffee, Fabled Bookshop, Hecho en Waco, and Pivovar. The kitchen was the best feature of the house, accommodating our morning coffee chats and the cooking we did. The island is huge and there were eight of us. The queen beds were very comfortable as well. A few things to be aware of: the stairs were crafted a hundred years, so use caution. The showers in one or two of the bathrooms are more ideal for nimble people, whose height is between 5 feet to 5 feet 11 inches 😂 They are claw foot tubs converted into showers. More cute than functional, but we managed. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

Summary: This old house has character, creaking stairs included (that's a plus - if you grew up with them, you know what I mean), and lots of comfortable common space that was a wonderful gift for extended family members to gather and visit after a family wedding. Everyone slept well, all was in good order, and communication with the owner was simple, straightforward, prompt and helpful. A lovely weekend enhanced by the provision of this home!

Summary: This was an annual sibling trip along with spouses - had a wonderful time! This house reminded us of our growing up in an older home on Tres Palacios Bay. This house has been beautifully restored by Fixer Upper. We especially enjoyed the front porch and were amused when a wine tour bus stopped for about 5 minutes as the house was on their tour route. The location is excellent and very convenient to the fine restaurants we dined at.
