1,700 sq. ft. two-story newly remodeled home in May of 2016 can accommodate 1 to 6 people in beds, plus two on a pull-out full-size couch in the loft and a baby in the crib. We have your comfort in mind with three pillow top queen size beds and one full size pull out couch with an extra thick mattress for comfort.
No-Contact Self-Check-in. House is sanitized between guests. Hand sanitizer at each sink.
Suitable for vacation or business travelers. Fully stocked kitchen with all the pots, pans, plates, glasses, and utensils you need, plus all new appliances. Kitchen-aid mixer, blender, coffee maker, teapot, microwave, cutlery set, toaster, gas range and oven, refrigerator. Complimentary water and condiments will be in the refrigerator. Coffee, tea, sugar, honey, and spices are provided.
Two bedrooms on the main floor with very comfortable pillow-top queen beds and 32" HD TVs. Full bathroom on the main floor, and full bathroom upstairs, both with walk-in showers (no tubs). The loft upstairs has one queen-sized bed and one full-size pull out couch.
We provide high count soft bed linens, soft hotel-style Turkish towels, laundry soap, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, toothpaste, makeup remover, and bath soap. A sewing kit is in the kitchen drawer in the rolling cart.
Closets with hangers, blow dryers, iron and ironing board, washer/dryer combo on the first floor. Secretary desk for laptop or writing. Many games, DVDs, and books for rainy days in the ottoman and bookshelf.
Private patio area in back to enjoy in nice weather with chairs, table, an outdoor fire-pit, a large wood-fired brick oven for gourmet cooking, and a Weber charcoal grill. Grill utensils are in the kitchen. Bring your own charcoal. We have culinary herbs in a raised bed for your use in season.
Crib, stair safety gate, and high chair available upon request.
Parking for up to three vehicles available - one in the back close to the house, and two on the street. No large trucks or RVs as we have limited parking space. The driveway is shared with our office and we use the garage in back and need to have access to it throughout the day.
Corner dinette in the kitchen seats 5, dining table has a built-in leaf that pulls out to seat up to 7. Antique dressers, tables, and decor throughout. Living room with 48" HD TV, cable, and blue-ray player. FREE WI-FI. HD TVs with DVD player in the TV's in each bedroom with their own channel access.
Note: We have a few chickens in the back and sometimes they wander around the driveway or yard but they won't bother you. We don't have a rooster.
The house is located three doors down from 23rd Street which is a main thoroughfare through the city. QuickTrip is one block away. There is a church across the street. This is an older neighborhood with an eclectic mix of houses. We own the three houses from the corner and keep the properties well maintained.
LOCATION: 5 minutes from the historic Independence Square, Truman Home, Truman Library, Vaile Mansion, Independence Water Park and 20 minutes from most major attractions in the Area including Lake Jacomo, Blue Springs Lake, Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun, Downtown Kansas City, the Power and Light District, Bartle Hall, the Sprint Center, Royals and Chiefs stadiums, Silverstein Arena, The Main Event; and 30 minutes from the KC Museum, Nelson Art Gallery, The Plaza, Westport, and the KC Zoo. Look on Google Maps to find Independence at Noland Road and 23rd Street to see our area.
PAYMENT: Payment must be made through VRBO only. We will not accept more than the amount due. We don't accept any other form of payment. Refunds are made only to the original credit card used for payment. Any requests to make a payment outside of VRBO will be ignored. When you book you'll see the pricing and charges for guests plus the cleaning fee.
Check-in after 4 pm, check out by 11 am. Check with us first for early check-in or late check out. Please, no pets allowed. Not handicapped accessible. Stairs to the second floor loft. No more than 6 adults and a total of 8 persons (including children) allowed per city code. The person renting must be staying in the house unless approved by the owner. For work crews: They must be responsible adults over age 25 and we need a copy of their driver's licenses. Please send a copy of your driver's license when making the reservation.
