Positive: My husband surprised me with a night away for just the two of us and he found Silver Heart through a google search. For us this was a staycation. The house is gorgeous, there’s no other word for it. It’s historic and I fell in love with it. The cottages, there are two, were super cute. We stayed in the beach cottage and I loved it. The hot tub was a lovely bonus as was the fire pit. We had unseasonably cool weather for August, so we were able to use the fire pit. The hot tub made me want to buy one for myself. It is secluded in a closed off area in the back of the cottage. The owner was an amazing host. Very personable, warm, and friendly. They were attentive the entire time we stayed.
Negative: The bed was not comfortable, there was a dip in the center. It’s loud with sirens, but I’m from the city, I grew up with those sounds and I was able to tune them out. I can see, however, that some people might be disturbed. It didn’t take anything away from the experience at all.
Summary: Overnight staycation in Indep and worth it 100%

Positive: This is a very quirky little B and B style accomodation. The host is wonderful and welcoming and there is tea, coffee and lovely homemade biscuits on offer for guests. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was very nice but there is little choice above any dietry issues. Which for most people will not be an issue. Parking is provided and there was no issue with getting a space.
Negative: The one negative is the the door frames to some of the rooms. The one we stayed in was not complete. It only comes up to the level of the door. So you are left with a very large gap at the top that is open to the landing. So there are issues with sound proofing in both directions. There are internal doors to the bathroom and bedroom that can be shut. However, the room was very small so having to shut them does hem you in quite a bit. It is perhaps where for us quirky departed into wierd. However, we had a one night stay, the bed was comfortable, the water hot and the stay pleasent.
