This lovely home is located less than two miles from the Williams campus and has been fully updated, maintaining the beautiful details of a historic house and adding the comforts of a modern luxury home. Perfect for a multi-generation family reunion, the 5000 square foot colonial features a state-of-the-art kitchen with a large center island that is fully set up with cookware for the most sophisticated chef. Sliding glass doors open from the kitchen onto a large blue stone patio, where guests will find a Weber grill, patio table and chairs, and fire pit.
Surrounded by a hedge of flowers, the in-ground pool is one of the largest private pools in Williamstown. Lounge by the pool or play bocce or badminton on the lush lawns surrounding the pool.
The stunning arts & crafts dining room opens onto a side deck, while the parlor opens onto a charming front porch furnished with wicker furniture. A further downstairs room has a flat screen TV and cable.
The house is furnished with eclectic artwork and furniture from around the world, collected on travels through Europe, India and Asia.
The huge master bedroom suite boasts a king sized bed, cathedral ceilings, a ceiling fan, flat screen TV with cable, and an adjoining bathroom with his/her sinks, jet tub, and elegant shower area.

Summary: Our family enjoyed our stay at Mary's home. Beautiful and great location, close to Williamstown and walking paths across the road. If staying in summer confirm with host that windows have screens. Plenty of room to spread out and outside areas beautiful. Interesting eclectic decor a plus. Communication with Mary timely.

Summary: We so enjoyed our stay - close to everything, lots of space for three generations, house was incredibly well stocked and, of course, our grandkids loved the pool. Mary was super responsive and helpful. We look forward to our next visit!

Summary: Lovely rambling home with lots of places to hang out. Interesting library, nice piano to play and a beautiful pool! And just 5 min drive to the world-class Clark Art Institute. Good restaurant choices and nearby hikes. Mary made great suggestions and was very responsive to our questions. We really enjoyed our experience!

Summary: Large updated farmhouse with plenty of room for everyone. The pool and flowers are spectacular and we enjoyed many sunny days in the pool, meals on the patio and reading on the front porch. We also enjoyed the large modern kitchen, grill for burgers and the fire pit for roasting hot dogs & toasting marshmallows. The home is full of antique furniture and art from around the world. There are several TVs but we rarely used them. The owner was extremely helpful and checked in with us to be sure everything was all right. We hardly got a chance to take advantage of Williamstown but we did pick up goodies at the farmers market and visited the Clark art museum for a couple hours. Would highly recommend this home for a quiet & relaxing vacation.

Summary: Mary's home was perfect for our family's summer escape from NYC. She was a very accommodating host and we appreciated the recommendations she gave for local restaurants, hiking trails, and other activities.
