CHALET
The chalet "Le Grenier des Hottes" welcomes you all year round in the "Grand Massif" ski area with its 265 km of pistes serving the resorts of Morillon, Samoëns, Sixt, Les Carroz and Flaine.
With its 70 m2, the chalet "Le Grenier des Hottes" is very cocooning. It can accommodate up to 8 people and benefits from:
On the ground floor: an equipped kitchen with dining area where you can enjoy fondue, raclette and plancha. A living room with an 8-seat corner sofa. WIFI and a bathroom / WC with shower.
Upstairs: 2 bedrooms (one with a 160x190 double bed, the other with 2 twin 90x190 beds). Each one is equipped with a TNT TV reception. An alcove, with a bunk bed of 2x90x190, and a WC.
Relax in the small garden where you can prepare and enjoy good barbecues.

The chalet is located 150 meters from the blue lake leisure center, where you can swim. Various activities are offered:

On foot or by mountain bike, beautiful hikes await you with different routes.

ALPINE SKIING :
20 meters from the chalet, a ski bus will take you free of charge at the foot of the Morillon ski lifts. Everything schuss on the Grand Massif ski area.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING:
At 150 meters, the Nordic area of Haut-Giffre. With its 60 km of slopes, you will discover magical landscapes between plains and forests all along the Giffre.
A few minutes by car, the Joux Plane area (30 km of slopes) where you will have a breathtaking view of the Mont-Blanc massif.
SLEDGE:
Secure and equipped trails are available on several sites.
WALKS:
On snowshoes or with sled dogs, come and discover our mountainous landscapes as you do not know them.

Summary: Stayed here with young family during the Feb half-term break for a first-time Skiing trip. The Chalet is superb and is well placed with easy access to the local supermarket at Samoens (5 mins away), the Gondola up to Morillon 1100, Ski-Bus as well as local restaurants. We were met by Sandrine and Yann who kindly showed us around and left us with a welcome pack of goodies which was really appreciated. The chalet is very well equipped with pretty much everything you need and is finished to a very high standard. Off-road parking is also available at the rear. We really enjoyed our time here and wouldn't hesitate booking it again. Sandrine and Yann were most welcoming and we all had a really pleasant stay in Verchaix. Highly recommend.

Summary: Brand new and well equipped. Sink in the upstairs toilet would be an improvement. Otherwise perfect.

Summary: We did a long term stay at this chalet Feb-April 2018 The chalet is very new, very practical and clean. We loved the location, easy to get a bus each morning to either Morillon or Sameon gondolas for skiing. Easy to drive to from Geneva, almost a completely flat drive if you go the route via Mieussy so no problem on the roads. We loved the layout of the chalet, two lovely bedrooms, room for four others with the bunk beds and very comfortable sofa bed if needed. Lovely comfortable dining chairs and large solid table. Quality furniture throughout made our stay very comfortable. Every window had an external shutter blind these were very handy at times. Completely fenced and gated was handy for parking the car within the property and letting the dog roam without getting out. Yann and Sandrine on hand for any problems, very nice couple. Perfect place for a short or long stay, 100 percent recommended.

Summary: Great Chalet a very short walk from the free ski-bus or a very short drive to the Car park in Morillon where you are on the Telecabine pretty quickly - equally convenient if you want to hop down the road to Samoens to access the Grand Massif area from there. Just returned from Verchaix / Grand Massif ski area from a half term break with my wife and 2 kids staying at this lovely Chalet. Sandrine and Yann were there to meet us on arrival and give us quick tour of the Chalet. The Chalet is newly completed and is fitted out with all you need for a break in the Alps with high end fixtures and fittings - built by Yann himself I believe.. As there were only 4 of us we only used the 2 bedrooms but its plenty big enough for 6 and can actually accommodate 8. Sandrine and Yann were very helpfull on arrival as we neglected to bring towels but they helped us out straight away and checked in on us during the week to see if everything was ok. Lovely people, lovely property - book it !
