Summary: A young man at the front desk for checking - in was HORRIBLE - rude, ruthless, and idiotic. From the beginning, he was reluctant to answer the questions I asked about gym, and that snobbish attitude continued throughout the check-in process. He said the hotel only provides ONE PAD for my dog throughout the whole period of stay regardless of how many days a customer stays, which does not make any sense at all. When the manager came over, he changed his word as "one per day" - a LIAR. If he stays there next time I visit this hotel, and consistently being a snob, I will be posting his photo here and on social media. They should not hire someone so rude and idiotic at FIVE STAR hotel. They also have a strange rule that one can only visit the gym ONCE per Day - the gym is not crowded at all, and don't make any sense to make such a rule. The amenities are great, but the location is very inconvenient as there is no infrastructure in the area except for iPark Mall. I mainly visited this hotel as I can stay quietly and focus on working.

Summary: The Grand Mercure Ambassador Hotel is a nice property with exceptional rooms, a great breakfast buffet, a good location in Seoul, and even a casino on-site for guests. We enjoyed the restaurants and the property thoroughly with the only exception of a very bad smell in one of the rooms that got worse during our stay. We informed the front desk of the issue, and they apologized, but we were checking out, so there was nothing that could be done. Strangely the hotel hallways and elevator corridors were extremely cold, with a drafty wind whipping through those areas. But ultimately, it was a very nice stay, and we would definitely return should we be in Seoul again soon.
