Location
The charming village of Grangesises is just a 5-minute drive from the resort of Sestriere. The residence is in the middle of the village, close to the small piazza. There is very little traffic, making it an ideal place for families with children. It may be peaceful, but it is far from boring, and hosts many events throughout the year, from dances to concerts and group mountain bike rides.
Sestriere, which hosted the 2006 Winter Olympics, has much to offer. In the winter months, the slopes around the resort suit skiers and snowboarders of all levels. There is cross-country skiing, heli-skiing, ice skating, motor sledging, dog sledging and snowshoeing.

History lovers should not miss the re-enactment of the battle of Assietta in July and the guided visits to the Fortress of Fenestrelle and the Chaberton museum in Claviere.
