Ground floor:
Open plan living/dining room.
Well equipped kitchen, dishwasher & gas oven.
2 twin/double rooms on the ground floor with outside access into the garden.

Garage, with connecting door into the kitchen, with 10kg washing machine.
Large south facing terrace the length of the property, a wendy house, 2 spacious dog kennels with separate enclosures, a BBQ, large enclosed garden.
French TV with English satellite, WiFi Internet connection.
The property is very close to the riding school, race course, 9 hole golf course, sailing school, beautiful sand beach. and within 5kms of parachuting, ULM flights, 18 hole golf course.
Activities: St Martin is a really fantastic place for people of all ages. There is an amazing range of activities for ages from 3+. At the bottom of the street is the sailing club, which also does sand yachting, kite surfing etc. Next to it is the golf course. In the other direction is the riding school. If you take the coast road to Granville you pass another golf course and the airfield, where the brave can go parachute jumping or take a ULM flight over the bay of Mont St Michel.
The area is rich in chateaux, churches and cathedrals, including Mont St Michel and Coutances (in May there is the famous Jazz sous les Pommiers. The Normandy Landing beaches are also about an hour away. There is a very child-friendly zoo not far away too.
The House: Maison Mielles, is a villa that was totally renovated in the summer of 2010. The house is a very comfortable family house, suitable for very large families or several families sharing. The house sleeps 12 very comfortably, and has a large enclosed private garden, good for running around and football.
There are four bedrooms with twin beds that can be converted into superking size beds if preferred and two other bedrooms, one with a queen size 140cm double bed and the other with a 160cm double bed. They are hotel quality beds, which are extremely comfortable. There are also two wooden cot beds (under 2s).
The bedrooms are situated on both floors, which allows for some extra privacy. The two downstairs bedrooms both have the twin/superking option, with a bathroom and loo shared between the two rooms. Upstairs are two bathrooms one with bath and loo, and one with a shower and a separate loo.
Traveling light: There are also two high chairs, and we can provide potties, a baby bath, extra high chairs etc if needed. The house is also equipped with plastic plates, spoons and knives for children. There is a good range of toys for the smalls, including a wendy house, and all the necessary buckets, spades and toys for the beach.
We also supply all the towels for the beach and house, all linens and a 10kg washing machine and all the cleaning products. Our aim is that you should be able to travel as light as possible. There is a good selection of books and films (hundreds) in the house, both for adults and children, and Sky freeview TV.
If any of your party wishes to bring dogs, we have two dog kennels and runs, and there are great walks in every direction.
We can also offer a 20% discount on ferry crossings with Brittany Ferries.

Summary: We were a group of 12, 2 families with 4 adults and 8 children between 8-18. We mostly used the house as a base from which to explore Normandie. The house was spacious enough for those purposes, plenty of options for sleeping and bathing, though only seating for ten in the dining room and it would’ve been a tight squeeze in the living room if everyone wanted to play a game at the same time. The yard was a bit overgrown, but the weather didn’t favor outdoor time much the weekend we visited so it didn’t matter. The kitchen was well-supplied with most necessary appliances and plenty of dishes and cutlery for a large group, even child proofing for the stairs and cabinets, though this wasn’t necessary for our group. We really loved our time in Normandie.

Summary: The hous was very big and comfortable. It was full of games and puzzles and had a lovely garden with a play house for the kids. The owner had even left boots, beach towels and other useful stuff. The owner was also nice and easy to have contact with. Always replied promply. The beach is just five minutes from the house with a long boardwalk perfect for stolling, walking or runing. The Brasseri in the village was nice and had good - not expensive - food. Our kids was on the beach everyday to collect shellfish, so we had that every night. Just lovely!

Summary: We had a great week here. The house is well kitted out with everything a family might need, including loads of games and beach equipment. Polly was there to greet us on arrival and we were able to contact her when needed during our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The bedrooms had plenty of room and the beds are really comfortable. We went with another family and had plenty of space to spread out. The kids loved the enclosures garden and charged around it all week. Every window has a shutter so the bedrooms are blacked out at night, which was great to keep the children sleeping after sunrise. It is 5 minutes walk from the beach and 10 from the village centre. Eating out was limited in the village but lots of places to drive to. It is in driving distance of lots of great days out, including a really well done zoo. A great base for a family holiday

Summary: Arrived to be met by Polly who was very proud of her house and rightly so, all as described dog friendly, clean, nice area and close to the beach. We have two Labradors who if could speak found it just like home from home. It was the little touches that made this place for instance the kitchen fully stocked with all that one would want for a dinner party and all the bathrooms having soap, toilet paper and shower gell plus endless supplies of tea and coffee filters. The week we chose was very cold but the house was lovely and warm Polly even explained how to turn up the boiler and told us not to worry as she also supplied lots of wood for the lovely open fire. This was truly a pleasant experience from some of the other houses we have stayed in. I would highly recommend this house dog and child friendly and also the Internet worked perfectly, well done.

Summary: We had a great time in Maison Mielles. The house was very clean, the beds super. We have stayed in many holiday homes in the past, but this house has the best equipped kitchen we ever seen. We stayed with 9 adults and 1 child and a dog. There was enough of everything for all. Also perfect to bring your dog. Garden was fenced, no problem to leave the dog in the garden when going out. Only 5 minutes to the beach, we went to Mont st Michel, Carentan, Avarange, Utah beach, museum dead man's corner. Actually there was nothing to complain about. Not even the weather!

Summary: This is an amazing house to stay in. It is spotlessly clean, beds and bedlinen of high standard and the kitchen is so well stocked with crockery, cutlery, glasses etc etc. The outside space is great, good size patio with furniture and enclosed, safe garden, the children loved it. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach which is beautiful. It is such a peaceful spot. The beauty is that you can travel as light as possible because all needs are catered for as Polly states in the house details. The village is within walking distance but very few restaurants were open in the evening, I believe it all comes alive in July & August. This didn't spoil our hols as we tended to use the BBQ. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to my friends and we will certainly be returning.
