Suwannee river. Where you see the river flow to the ocean !Everyday is a fishing day!!!! The video shows the neighborhood at the 33 second mark. Homes in this neighborhood are on a canal that heads out to the Suwannee River with wide open blue ocean water a few minutes boat ride away. Kayak, Scuba dive, go scalloping or just fish and view the sunset. Travel by your boat to nearby restaurants or travel up river to Treasure Island and eat there.
We love this area. its quiet, a hidden historic treasure, tucked away at end of the river as it flows out to the ocean. Families are welcome to build memories that will last a lifetime.
Please enjoy this lovely find. If you love fishing, clear natural springs, hunting in the refuge or swimming and seafood, come on down. Schedule your stay with us!! Joe Lovelace our neighbor across the street is the best local fishing guide with over 30 years experience at this location and runs a Private active Charter Service independent of the property. He charters for fresh and saltwater fishing year round. He does boat tours as well. This home will accommodates 6 guests comfortably.. If the days you want to stay are not blocked they are available..
The Master Bedroom and bathroom along with the landscaping and entire grounds were completely remodeled and updated as of January 2024. New photos have been added and most of the older ones have been removed. The entire house has a warm cabin type feel to it along with elevated yards and a new deck to walk out to the boat dock. New grass sod has been laid on the entire property.

Summary: This house is nice and has a great location but we had a terrible experience the dirty linen was piled up in front of the entrance ,the house was dirty we had to do laundry and cleaned the floor and carpet that had dead roaches after driving for long time.Poor communication with the owner. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.☹️😣😡😤

Summary: The property was perfect for our family of four and everything was pretty clean. The view outside was beautiful and the dock was great as we were able to access our boat easily. We loved the location as it was remote and quiet A few things to keep in mind if your staying here: 1. Make sure and bring most of your groceries as there isn’t much in the area for groceries and/or restaurants. 2. Bring bug spray and some long sleeve clothing as the bugs are really bad (which can be expected anywhere near water in Florida). 3. We had no cell service at all in the town the property is located. Once you hook up to wifi you can make calls, but keep this in mind if you are very dependent on your phones gps/ web services to get around.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay very much. The dock to keep our boat was very nice. And the neighbors we very nice and helpful with information as to where we could go to get scallops. Overall great place. Not many restaurants close. But enjoyed our stay

Summary: We very much liked having the boat in the water so we could just get in and go. Very quiet, nice neighbors. Everything we needed was there. Suggest you get groceries in Old Town before coming to the home. We definitly will go again.

Summary: The cleanliness of the home was a huge disappointment. Upon arriving at the home, there were numerous housekeeping and sanitation issues that were discovered. The home needs a thorough deep cleaning from the ceiling to the baseboards. The issues that concerned us the most and were reported to David McGhee are as follows; BUGS IN THE FREEZER AND IN ICE, DIRTY COUNTERTOPS, DEBRIS AND DIRT ON FLOORS. DUST ON FURNITURE, MILDEW ON SHOWER CURTAIN, HAIRS ON TOILET. Photos were sent to David McGhee. He asked if he could have the housekeeper come back and clean again. We agreed to her coming back. We showed her the areas that needed attention. She was nice but seemed to be overwhelmed with the prospect of cleaning the entire home. We agreed to.just have her clean the areas of greatest concern, which she did. We were able to stay once the most egregious cleaning issues were corrected. The home really needs a regularly scheduled deep.cleaning on a consistent basis. Our stay began very stressful due to the cleanliness issues of the home. Nobody likes to arrive in a home and find problems that could possibly jeapordize the plans of staying and enjoying their time away. We stayed and made the most of our time. Crabbing was good and exploring the Suwannee area was fun. Suwannee only has one small grocery store so bring everything that you will need for your stay. If you're looking for a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life then Suwannee is the place.

Summary: The house was super cozy and very homey feeling. We really enjoyed our stay and loved that it had a dock for our boat. The kids had a blast spending family time on the water.

Summary: Recommend adding blankets, spatula /cook wear. It’s hard to make pancakes with a spoon. No trash bags to switch out trash. House is well kept for it’s age. We enjoyed the dock and view.
