Summary: This place is amazing and so is Darren. We stayed one week for 2024 spring break and came back for almost two weeks this year! The accomodations are super clean and comfortable. Plenty of beach supplies are furnished. You can't beat the location! Walk to Walgreens, Publix, restaurants, and most importantly, walk just a few steps to the beach! Love this place!

Summary: An absolute gem of a property! The house has everything you could want to be able to enjoy a relaxing stay! Located close to everything you need. The beach area across the street is quiet and seems to be situated between the busier public areas! Highly recommend and will definitely return for another visit in the future! Such a gorgeous area🏝️

Summary: This cottage is perfect. Steps from the beach! Old school updated. We love the traditional cottages vs the monster new houses that mix up the island vibe. Super clean..even the windows. Neighborhood is quiet and friendly. The balcony is perfect for sunsets and dinner. The furniture and beds are comfy. Well stocked for four. This area is our favorite part of the island.

Summary: This is a fantastic location. Maybe 50 yards to the beach and walking distance to restaurants, pharmacy, grocery and just about anything you will need on this beautiful island. The condo itself is magnificent. Everything you need for cooking, sleeping, relaxing on the deck, going to the beach is there for you. You will never find a place better equipped or cleaner than Mermaid Retreat!

Summary: The Mermaid Retreat was absolutely perfect for our 4th of July vacation. The property was the cleanest of places we’ve ever stayed and had everything we needed. Plenty of dishes and cooking essentials, towels, chairs, wagon, and umbrellas. The walk to the beach is literally out the door and across the street. The beach is never crowded and the sunsets are always beautiful! Communication with Darren was aways quick. He even offered to fix an issue we ran into that he didn’t even have to do. He’s the absolute best host! Thank you Darren for making our stay rememberable! I will definitely stay here again next year!
