Negative: There appeared to be a motion detector in the room. It felt intrusive. She was up when we left. Dropped my earring on the floor and it was very dirty under the bed but otherwise the room was clean. Host texted about water conservation while I was taking a shower. Didn't know there was a water shortage in Ireland. I did not see it until the next morning as my phone goes to sleep mode after 8 pm. We were charged at least double for a night's stay compared to the usual rate. I understand that it was booked last minute so ok. A one night stay and not near the center was over-priced for what it was. Then the snarky comment from the host to a possible guest stating that they hope the traveler finds a hotel within their budget for peak season. There are more such comments in the ratings if you care to look. We were tired and had not eaten. She was good about our late arrival as we had been traveling all day; giving her credit. However, we did not feel comfortable about the whole situation when we left. Should have paid to stay at a hotel; it wasn't peak season.

Positive: Great location, close to Gap of Dunloe and Carrauntoohill walking trails. Short drive to town to great restaurants and pubs.
Negative: All good. Nothing to dislike.
Summary: Lovely host. Very comfortable, quiet guest house. Would stay again. Close to Ring of Kerry and other tourists attraction

Positive: The host was wonderful, very helpful, and engaging.
Negative: We booked what was described as "king room", expecting a large double bed or king bed. Particularly important us as we are tall. Sadly we both slept little as our feet hung off the bed end and was too narrow for us. We arrived too tired to want to discuss it with the lovely host, so put up with it. We can't recommend it for anyone over 186 ish cm. Coupled with a sticky tape repared remote for the very small t.v. The icing on the cake was when my wife jammed her hand painfully between the bathroom door handle and door jam as the door handle is fitted so close to the edge of the door there is no room for a hand to hold it.
