This rustic ranch house offers 3+ bedrooms and two recently renovated baths, providing a perfect place for relaxation after enjoying all the activities available in the Brownsville-Woodstock-West Windsor area: hiking, biking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, etc. A short drive down back roads and country lanes leads to Woodstock, the town green, art galleries and shops. You'll likely pass more horses than cars, as the Green Mountain Horse Association is along the way with access to miles and miles of trails. Several excellent country restaurants are located nearby and provides great opportunity to enjoy locally grown foods and regional craft-brewed beers.

Chances are, however, that you will want to stay and cook at home, in the fully-equipped kitchen and the comfortable deck and barbecue provide a perfect place to prepare all the ingredients acquired during a day's foraging in the local markets.

Summary: Comfortable and clean. Loved gathering around the beautiful wood burning fire place after a cold ski day. Enjoyed morning coffee taking in the spectacular front deck mountain views.

Summary: The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the place is dated and was quite musty when we walked in, but it got better when we opened all the windows. Some pillow cases were stained but I usually bring my own so it wasn't a big deal. It ended up being the PERFECT spot for a girls night away. The location is fantastic. SO much privacy at the top of a hill off a dirt road, with an incredible view of Mt. Ascutney, especially from the deck and the open living room/kitchen area (which was perfect for playing games and hanging out together). Harpoon Brewery was 15 min away, and the small town for essentials is about 5 - 10 min away.

Summary: I think the fact this will have been the fifth time I have stayed here says it all! I LOVE this house! Jennifer as always was great to deal with. The weather was with us and we had a very sunny weekend. We enjoyed the upper valley, the views from the living room and as always enjoying the wood burning fireplace. From the moment I opened the front door I felt right at home. We enjoyed the sunsets and just had a very excellent weekend. This property is warm and inviting and I wish I could have stayed longer. Till next time Jennie and thank you!!

Summary: Overall very disappointed with our stay. To start things off, the property manager provided the wrong address and we wasted over two hours trying to find the place. (No cell phone service in the area to get in touch with her, so ended up at the county clerk's office for a wifi signal to call for directions!!) When we did get into the house, it was not very clean with a bad smell of mildew. (Spiders and cobwebs in the corners of the ceilings.) Because we had planned this getaway for months and could not change plans, we decided to weather it out, kill the bugs and lit a fire in the nice fireplace. However, the sleeping situation soon created some serious grief. There were not enough blankets for every bed. The pillows were flattened and stained. The pull out couch in the third bedroom did not support two people and the fourth bedroom with twin beds had a heavy mildew odor without a means to turn up the heat. It is some kind of converted garage space that really should not even be used as a bedroom. On the positive side, the property is secluded and quiet, and the open living space centered around the beautiful fireplace works well as a nice gathering space. The view of the mountain is spectacular and the stars at night, awesome. Still, I would not recommend staying in this place. Advertised as accommodating 8 people to sleep, it is expensive, and yet the seven of us were uncomfortable and as hosts, we were embarrassed. Especially stay clear if anyone in your group have sensitivities to mold/mildew.

Summary: This house is the perfect house for a race weekend for our team. It has the perfect mix of bedrooms. Jenny is a great host who makes everything incredible easy, and is on top of any requests. Views are amazing. We are very lucky to be able to use the space for multiple years, and we plan to keep coming back!
