Recently renovated cottage w/ all amenities in idyllic vacation spot Linwood Park Vermilion, OH . Beach, playground, ice cream stand, ping pong, shuffle board, tennis, and more.
Spacious open living/kitchen/dining space. Study w/ pull out bed, 5 BR, 2 baths. Sleeps 12+crib. Heat & AC. DW. Washer/Dryer. WiFi. Cable TV.
Self access via electronic key pad. Three dedicated parking spots.
Full week rental only (Sun-Sun) from June-August. Off-season flexibility.
Downstairs, the cottage contains a spacious open living/kitchen/dining space. The living area has seating for 10—a large comfy couch, a wicker settee, 2 wicker side chairs, 2 supremely comfortable stationary rockers (perfect for afternoon naps!), and a vintage rush-seat rocker. (The furnishings have been updated since the accompanying photos were taken.)
The recently renovated kitchen features expansive granite countertops and a central island with four stools. It is fully furnished with high-quality equipment and utensils—gas stove, large microwave, large fridge, mini fridge for overflow summer beverages, dishwasher, Keurig and drip coffeemakers, toaster, blender, hand mixer, full array of pots and pans, cutting boards, high-quality knives, Oxo utensils, baking supplies, serveware, potholders, etc. Also dishes, silverware, and complete array of glassware for 12-14.
The large round dining table seats 10; in addition, with 2 additional wooden chairs plus supplied folding chairs and folding table, it’s possible to seat up to 14 if you have visitors. We also supply two booster-style baby seats.
A cozy study also on the first floor contains a flat-screen TV equipped with basic cable service and a DVD player; a pullout double bed; and a desk area with a provided HP laserjet printer. High-speed cable wifi is also included in your rental. We also have an assortment of family games (Scrabble, Sorry, Clue, etc.); playing cards; jigsaw puzzles; and light summertime reading matter.
A laundry/storage area, a half-bath, and an adjacent shower room complete the downstairs amenities.
Upstairs, there is a full bath (with tub/shower) and five bedrooms—two with two single beds each, and three with double beds (one of which also includes a full-sized safety-compliant crib).
The cottage is fully heated and air-conditioned and is available for occupancy year round.
All bed linens (100% cotton sheets, including for the crib, and pillowcases); blankets; quilts; pillows; bath towels, face towels, and washcloths; dish towels; and beach towels are provided.
In addition, we provide all household consumables as part of your rental—including toilet paper, plastic bags, cling wrap, foil, cleaning supplies, soap, detergent, etc.
Outdoors, there is a small front flagstone patio for bike storage (4 adult bikes and 2 kid bikes come with the cottage); a supplied red wagon to tote kids or beach “stuff”; and two bins for beach-supplies storage—plus an outdoor shower and a foot-washing station. And a back peastone patio contains a large stainless-steel gas grill (with supplied propane tanks), a picnic table and benches, and a round table and chairs. We even provide a complete cornhole game set—two boards and two sets of beanbags! There are also three dedicated parking spaces immediately adjacent to the cottage.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. Two grandmas and three children plus a few friends that stopped by, everything was perfect. Very well equipped kitchen. A large yard and proximity to the besch. What more can we ask? Love to stay here again.

Summary: The location is wonderful, just two blocks from a lovely park on the water. Vermillion is a cute little town. The first floor is larger than it appears in photos and was clean and well appointed. The beds are totally inadequate. The listing says “double” beds, but they are full size, not queen, so not appropriate for two adults. Two of the full-size rooms are big enough for queens, so they should just get queen beds. The other two rooms had twin size beds that were old and creaky. I don’t mind “cottage” character, but these really made a lot of noise and felt insecure. That said, the twin mattresses were comfy. The fifth bedroom is small, with another full size bed, and is accessed by going through one of the twin bedrooms. So perhaps suitable for a child, but not other adults staying together. In all, it sleeps six adults and two children, plus a pull out sofa in the first floor study. With no bed suitable for a couple to share. The listing said linens were included. When we arrived, we found a sign stating we were expected to wash, dry, fold, and put away all sheets and towels. As we had an early start, this wasn’t possible, as it would have taken several hours of work. I think this is completely unreasonable, and left me with a bad feeling about the whole experience. If you expect your guests to perform hours of work for you, that should be disclosed ahead of time so one can choose to book elsewhere.

Summary: Cozy but roomy cottage with everything we could need. Cooking was a breeze b/c of the complete kitchen. Location was great -- kids could run off energy at the playgrounds and go exploring on the beach, even with chilly weather.

Summary: We gathered here with extended family to celebrate Christmas. It was perfect for our family. Enough beds for everyone and great gathering space for all of us. The kids loved the proximity to the beach (no swimming) and the great playground in the park (even in December).

Summary: The property is located within 2 min walk from the lake. Plenty of grocery and restaurant options near by. Everything was as described with supplies and a full kitchen available to use. The bed rooms are too small and all of them have sliding doors which makes them very noisy in the nights when someone is trying to use the bathroom. Even the bathrooms have sliding wood doors which also adds to the noise in the nights. One thing we were not happy with is spotting spiders in kitchen and in bedrooms. Also lot of spider web around the ceiling walls.

Summary: Loved the open floor plan. Great space. Appreciated how everything was labeled. It made finding things very easy. I think the cottage had everything in it that one could possibly want. Because of the winter weather, the rugs at both entrances could have been a little bigger.
